AAA provides a great portfolio of services of which we have been so pleased to have used their towing, battery replacements/ checks, trip planning (old fashioned paper maps), international drivers licenses, and emergency services. AAA Plus membership has been worth its weight in gold - for the 8 annual emergency service calls alone (unlimited mileage tows and battery-related) that we receive for our couple membership. Of course there's the piece of mind that you receive knowing that AAA can help whenever your travels/ emergencies arise. I readily admit that there have been a few instances these past 13 years that AAA fell short of its gold standard for towing responsiveness as well as congenial customer service from their phone reps -- but all in all in the grand scheme of things I've been pretty satisfied with AAA and appreciate being a AAA Plus card carrying member. If you're looking for a great travel / emergency services company, AAA is the gold standard recognized nation wide if not world wide!

Location: fernandina beach…read more Definitely NOT my grandparents & parents great company "make sure you get AAA", I heard praise for all my life growing up... Accidentally locked keys in vehicle at 12am at a function, 34 miles from my residence. Called AAA to get vehicle unlocked. Because of the "Vehicle lookout service up to $100" 24/7 benefit I paid for. Spent 6 hrs waiting, about every 15/20 min I called customer service, was told "on the way" "wouldn't be long" and then notified by text not long after... "service cancelled". Never ending process of repeatedly calling, waiting and being cancelled. AAA service representative, Quote: "Maybe after 6am we can provide service because there would be more service techs on the road". Did I pay a AAA membership with 24/7 roadside assistant? Did I accidentally check the box, "Customer has to wait to break down in a time window to get service roadside assistant". I must've checked the box "Lockout service only during daylight hours" not "24/7 lockout service" must be my mistake Tried to have them provide a Lyft, Uber and was told they weren't paying for that. Because by this time fares were $300. Note: At 12am a ride share was $50 but at 5am ride shares were $300. Again I must've opted OUT of the "complimentary rental car provided up to 100 miles" absentmindedly Was told being it was 34 miles from my home they didn't provide anything: hotel, ride share. "Have to be at least 100miles from my resident." I must've misunderstood? So I have to break down or need assistance at least 100 miles from home/destination. Do I need to push my car to the 100th mile mark? That must've been in the fine print somewhere I missed. Did I not pay fees for 24/7 roadside assistance including "flat tire service" "battery jumpstart and replacement" "vehicle lockout service" and not get the help you pay for? All the while a service member stating you were having someone come to you and wouldn't be long. Finally gave up and got an uber at 6am for $50 What a joke AAA is.... A company praised by an older generation, that now is a complete scam and waste of money in today's times

Main Street America cancelled my auto policy without warning after my car was totaled due to…read moreflooding. This caused a lapse in coverage for several weeks that I was unware of which skyrocketed my auto insurance rates and made it very difficult to get re-insured with a different company. Main Street did not notify me that my policy was canceled - electronically, over the phone, by mail, nothing. I don't understand how this is legal. They also dragged their feet with the settlement payout to the leasing company, causing me to have to pay the next monthly lease installment for a totaled car that I no longer owned. They took multiple days to get an adjuster out to survey the damage to my car while it sat waterlogged. Very poor communication with me having to act as the middle man between insurance and the leasing company. Avoid this insurance company at all costs.

First thing I noticed was the only review they had was a fake EMPLOYEE(which is against YELP rules)…read morereview, giving them a 5 star review. This is not what YELP is for, they have review sites for employees to try and kiss up to the company! One of their insured smashed into the rear end of a Jeep, and then came across into oncoming traffic right in front of me. I tried to avoid her, but she ended up tagging my trailer. She's 81 years old, and admitted fault, and said "I became distracted" which i'm told is code for being on the phone. Anyways I'm not hurt, and simply want my trailer! Their "Hitman" calls me a day later, and wants to interview me. It seemed like all he wanted was to try and find any excuse to let his insured off and he failed. When I inquired as to getting a rental trailer till they resolve this(It's my entire livelyhood), he says "I'm not even sure there are places that rent trailers" So if you have half a brain, you realize, like i did, I'm dealing with a Pathological liar. Unless he truly wants to claim he's never heard of Uhaul. So I'm here to warn people. I know around $1200 isn't a lot to some people, but to me it's the difference between life and death! and If they're jerking me around for this pittance, imagine what they'll do to you with your $10,000-$50,000-$100,000 claim! I have tried to call this sub human back 50 times in 2 weeks, he's never there! I'm going to be forced to take that lady to small claims. Which I'll easily win. But she, their insured, will have to go through all that drama. Do you want to think you're insured, but suddenly get sued, because these guys aren't answering phones and are out partying on your payments? By all means give them your money, or throw it out the window, same result. BTW they apparently feel comfortable lying. But then send you a letter strongly threatening YOU not to lie. You know where you can shove that Adrian? The BBB has nothing but negative reviews(7) please go read them. Another site called expert insurance reviews has pages of complaint, non paying, can't get a hold of them. Sadly from reading all this I'm coming to the realization they just won't pay me anytime soon. Some of these complaints are saying months and months, and a lot of them say they had to sue the insured with them.
