Recently I went to check our books only to be told I had damaged a book. I could hardly speak as I would never damage a book. At the desk I was told I had been charged, convicted and charged (yes I had to pay $50). Trash overflowing from the trash cans (including food) and onto the floor, also trash all over the floor. Seems like there may be a giant hole in the carpet that they just covered up with what looks like cardboard? The kids story time was definitely the worst I've been to by a landslide. No structure, no introduction stuff for the kids, no themes, a lot of disruptions, and just so short. Also the librarian chastised the parents on kids not being developmentally capable of sharing which, as parents, we still need to model and reinforce what sharing behavior is and it is ridiculous. Very disappointed and think that the city can do so much more to invest in the community's children.

There are study rooms and even personal rooms you can reserve. Right when you walk in there is a pretty good size bird cage with clear windows on the sides. Originally I thought they would be obnoxious but it turned out to be pretty neat. Now days I only stop by to use their printer. 15 cents a copy to print and make sure you bring cash.

This branch offers a lot of different sing a long and story times in the library and in the atrium. I've checked out many books from children's to romance to non-fiction. You can also reserve books online to pick up there. There is a lot of parking, especially when schools out it's easy to get in, and then there is an outdoor drop box for returns. My step daughter also had private tutoring lessons in their quiet rooms.

Both borrowing ACTUAL books, but also having learned how to download digital books. I used to frequently borrow audio books on CD's for traveling but the car i have now doesn't have a CD player. It took me awhile and call to the library while traveling across country , but i learned how to use Libby. If there is a flaw it is the assumption that when they add things like Libby, we all should just know how to use them. The one thing that stands out for me is how whatever and however dense my question might be I have always been able to find someone that can help, although it might mean waiting for the response. They are helpful and wiling to explain.

We found a very convenient room for the kids to meet with their tutors over zoom. They have a great children's area and my son found a couple used books to buy there. This is a well-stocked public library. What you can't find you can either order from another Omaha…read morelibrary or request as a purchase. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They seem quite diligent at their tasks. Helpful, too. One can get book, CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray disks. Checkout is between 1 and 3 weeks, depending on what you check out. Parking is generous, and, so far, I've always found a spot. There is a media and book drop box for returns, both inside and outside the library. I love this place!
