Ivonne is great. She helps you with everything and she goes above and beyond for her clients

I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. I enrolled in a course through Tax Liberty on South Ventura Road and completed it, including the California state portion. However, I was later told it wasn't submitted--despite having done all the work. After finishing in December, I followed up in January and spoke with Yvonne Ramirez on January 23rd. She acknowledged that the state portion hadn't been submitted and asked if I wanted her to do it. She quickly logged into my account and noted it showed 75%, which was confusing since I had completed everything. My friend was with me at the time and helped screenshot all my completed lessons and records, just for safety. I trusted that Yvonne submitted everything properly, but it turns out it still wasn't reported to CTEC. This issue continued unresolved for months, and I've had to constantly go back and forth with them. To make matters worse, I lost access to my account. I never used my email to log in, only a username with a shared password used by multiple students, and I couldn't reset it because it wasn't linked to any email. Eventually, someone from Tax Liberty reached out and created or linked an account using my email to help me reset my password. Once I logged in, all my coursework--federal, state, everything--had been wiped clean as if I never took the course. How can I be expected to resubmit or complete something when access was taken away and then reset with all progress erased? This whole process has been extremely disappointing. I paid for the course, completed it, and did my part. I expected professionalism and proper follow-through, but instead, I was met with miscommunication, technical errors, and a lack of accountability. This experience felt even more personal when I realized the dynamics involved--connections and friendships that may have played a role in the way I was treated. I say this not to attack anyone but to point out that professionalism should always rise above personal feelings or associations. In hindsight, I should have gone with a more reputable company like H&R Block, where I've had positive experiences in the past. Unfortunately, I was referred to this program through someone I worked with, who also had questionable professionalism. All that said, I leave this review not with bitterness, but with the hope that it will help someone else avoid the stress I went through. I trust that God brings everything into the light and that justice will be done in His timing. Be cautious, ask questions, and document everything when dealing with programs like this. read more

Just filed our taxes here the other day and I must say that this place exceeded our expectations. Welcomed as soon as we entered. We were offered refreshments and a snack. Our boys even got a little goodie bag and coloring sheet. I went around 1pm on a weekday and did not have to wait at all. They do appointments as well so if you're crunched for time that is recommended, place was filling up by the time I left. Brenda was awesome so friendly and very through asking questions to make sure she was getting us the best return possible. read more

Great service from Liberty Tax! Silvia Lara was so patient and kind. I would recommend their service to everyone!

This business commits fraud. Steals your hard earned money. Charges over $300 for a Simple tax return. They are not straight forward. Everything they do is backwards. DO NOT COME HERE. The money should go directly into your account. Instead liberty takes your money then decides how much you get. This is illegal and unethical on every level. Karma will get you. Don't worry. They'll find all of you. read more
