On 10/27/14 Ken Mullinax agreed to help me with filing lost tax returns. I signed and submitted…read moreall required forms for him to begin work on my case via e-mail. I also paid a down payment of $500 towards a total bill of $2,700.00. By November 24th I had not heard from Ken Mullinax and sent an e-mail to his office requesting an update. There was no response. On November 30 I paid Ken Mullinax $250.00. On December 1st I sent an email requesting the status of my case. There was no response. On numerous days after November 30th, I called and left voice mail requesting the status of my case. There was no response. After several weeks of unanswered phone calls, I spoke with Sandra Mullinax who told me they were working on my case and that she would call me back within the hour. There was no return phone call. Late in December I left several more voice mails requesting an update. There was no response. I sent Ken Mullinax an email requesting a refund. A few hours later I received an email from Ken containing "generic" returns that were not complete and essentially useless. There was no response to my request for refund. I returned an email stating that my tax issues had become worse because of his inaction and that I needed him to refund the money I had paid so I could hire a local CPA. I was told that he would not refund the money I had paid him. I agreed to pay Ken Mullinax the amount of $2,700.00 and I kept my obligation. Ken Mullinax did not fulfill his part of the agreement of providing timely and competent services. At this point, my tax issues have been resolved by a local and more competent CPA. I request that Ken Mullinax refund the $750.00 I have paid him for services he did not provide.
