She was informed recently that it was not actually a diagnosis and that the meds she has been taking may have caused long term damage to her brain. She has not been performing at work, her family is looking at her differently and think that she is making things up, now that she is "not bipolar". Where do these so called "Mental Health PROFESSIONALS" get the right put anyone on medication that could cause lifetime problems, for a disorder that they DO NOT HAVE. When I say Professionals, I mean Plural!!! There were 3 People involved in her (Not) diagnosis that changed her whole life!!!

My children and myself have been going to the CBHA for over five years. I have never had any…read moreproblems with the doctors or staff. We have a primary care physician, dental, and vision at CBHA. They allow up to ten minutes being late, after that you do have to reschedule. I think that's perfectly acceptable as they are busy! You can leave messages for the schedule to call back or leave a message with the nurse staff to call you back of you have general questions. The only issue I have ever had was in the pharmacy. The pharmacy contract with our insurance was not renewed and we had to have the prescription transferred. I recommend going to this facility. The facility is clean and the staff considerate.

We were greeted quickly, assisted with the intake and directed to the Day Surgery Department. Although my mother was hesitant about having eye surgery, the staff put her at ease by fully answering her questions and treating her as a person as much as a patient. And while some healthcare experiences feel impersonal, this was not the case here at all. Having worked in healthcare for over 15 years, I understand the many things that go on behind the scenes to make it all happen and I was completely impressed with how detailed, efficient and friendly each person was.   Since I live 4 hours away, I am thrilled to know that such a wonderfully competent and friendly team are available if we need them.

I am writing this review to bring a serious patient-care concern to the attention of Providence St…read more Mary Medical Center administration regarding our recent experience with Nancy Rogers, PA, in the cardiology department. Approximately two weeks before this appointment, I contacted the cardiology department because my husband, who is an established cardiology patient of Dr. Maxood, was not feeling well. He was experiencing significant exhaustion and sleeping as much as 15 hours a day. Given his cardiac history and our concerns about his risk of stroke, I considered these symptoms important enough to contact his cardiology care team. We arrived at approximately 10:15 a.m. for the 10:25 appointment and were called back at approximately 10:45. While discussing our concerns with the nurse, we learned for the first time that my husband would not be seeing Dr. Maxood, but instead would be seeing physician assistant Nancy Rogers. We were both surprised and disappointed because our understanding was that this appointment was with his cardiologist. When Ms. Rogers entered the examination room, her initial manner immediately concerned us. She acknowledged that we had expected to see the cardiologist and made a comment to the effect that we were "stuck with" her, while telling us that she would have the cardiologist review the notes so that he would have "eyes on" the case. Given the seriousness of why we were there, we did not find this approach reassuring or professional.Our primary concern during this visit was my husband's anticoagulation treatment. He had experienced what we believed to be an adverse/allergic reaction to Eliquis, and because of his medical history and our concern regarding stroke risk, we wanted to discuss what alternative blood-thinning options might be available to him. Instead, a significant amount of the discussion focused on statin therapy. We made it clear that we did not want to pursue the statin discussion at that time and wanted to focus on the issue that had brought us to the appointment: anticoagulation and what alternatives might be available following his reaction to Eliquis. Despite repeatedly attempting to redirect the conversation, the discussion returned to statins. Eventually, frustrated that our primary concern was not being addressed, I raised my voice and stated clearly that we were tabling the discussion about statins and wanted to discuss blood thinners. When the conversation again returned to statins, I told Ms. Rogers that I was going to excuse myself. I got up and left the examination room. I then went to the scheduling area and, while admittedly upset and frustrated, stated that we did not want future appointments with Ms. Rogers and that we wanted my husband to be seen by Dr. Maxood only. I expressed my serious concern that we had come seeking guidance about anticoagulation and stroke prevention and did not feel that our concern was being appropriately addressed. I then left that area and sat on a couch near the elevator while my husband completed his appointment. I subsequently learned that Ms. Rogers documented in my husband's medical chart that I had been "verbally abusive" I was forced to advocate for my Husband multiple times and the last time I raised my voice. I also voluntarily removed myself from the examination room when I realized the conversation had become unproductive. I am particularly concerned about the documentation regarding security. To my knowledge, no security officer approached me, spoke with me, questioned me, asked me to leave, or escorted me from the facility. I remained seated near the elevator waiting for my husband. If the medical record states or implies otherwise, I believe Providence should review the circumstances and determine precisely what occurred and ensure that the chart accurately reflects the facts. Patients have a right to ask questions, express their priorities, decline a proposed medication or discussion, and participate meaningfully in decisions concerning their healthcare. When a patient and spouse repeatedly state that their immediate concern is anticoagulation and stroke prevention, that concern deserves to be heard and addressed clearly--even if the provider also believes another medication is important. I am asking Providence St. Mary Medical Center administration to review this encounter, including the scheduling and communication that led us to believe my husband would be seeing his cardiologist; the delay in responding to our original call regarding his symptoms; the communication and conduct during the appointment; and the accuracy and completeness of the subsequent chart documentation.

She listens carefully to the patient and shares her thoughts on what she thinks is going on and what the best options are to deal with it. I've been seeing her for 18 years and think she is one of the best Doctors I've ever seen. I don't know if she is accepting new patients ( she's very well liked) - but if she is - consider yourself very lucky to get in and see her.
