changing review platform to express my never ending distain for one of the most incompetent and corrupt businesses i have ever had the displeasure to interact with. These good people don't even offer a valid email address. Client communications are kept exclusively on phone lines to limit and control tracking. Lost service four days ago. Called to report the condition. Their Opening Greeting was "We are aware that service in your area has been disrupted and we are diligently working on repairs". At yesterday's call We were told that the repairs would be completed in the course of the day, but that did not happen. Called again today to follow-up and was told that they did NOT have record of my original service request. That today's call was my First call or the subsequent Notifications . Evidently not only did they fail to Register my calls, but the welcome greeting is but a brush-off because I am now going on my week-long service interruption and Liberty was perfectly unaware of the interruption in my area. And BTW, the service rep warned me that if I failed to place a claim, they would NOT issue a credit. I asked for a service call reference number but was dismissed with the recommendation to signup through WattsApp or use their WebPage. Be Forewarned, there are No Mechanisms on the website to Track service calls status other than phones. I refuse to submit to their ethereal phone-only policy. I'll be seeking alternatives. Liberty use to be a very reliable internet service provider until they purchase AT&T. Afterwards the service interruption increased dramatically. when you call them for technical support, their cure is always to reboot your router. In which case you're losi productivity, time you need on your PC, all because of their reduced quality is service. I'm paying for 200 mbps, and average 45 mbps. Then call technical support so they can remotely reboot your router (which I did at least twice before calling them). Afterwards the service increases for two days before having to call them again. there service in my personal experience has been extremely unreliable. Also since they took over AT&T, my phone internet service is basically nonexistent except for several areas. an example of thi is on 65 infentry road near place escóriala, I bairly get one bar, and am unable to connect to any app. read more

Like all of us, I've had very bad cable companies over the year. However, Liberty Cable is hands-down the worst cable company I have endured. Two years of consistent inconsistency in up time for both internet and cable TV. Don;t get me started on their horrendous lack of preparedness and their abysmal recovery to Irma and Maria. Having had enough, I decided to cut the cable and drop down to just Internet. Wow, that took an hour. First they told me I could only reduce service at by visiting their customer "service" department at a Liberty facility. Note that I travel frequently and not in PR for the next 30 days. It was only after indicating I would be complaining to their oversight organization that they decided it was okay to reduce services over the phone. Of course, the next step was to endure their ridiculous attempts to "save" me. Comically, their first attempt would have been for slightly faster advertised Internet than I pay for already, but for an increase in price over my bundle! When I requested the next rate down, they offered me a rate $15 higher than their teaser rate for new customers, plus a $20 service reduction fee! I responded by stating that I am no longer interested in retaining Internet and to close my entire account. After a brief repeat of the "you must cancel in person" nonsense, he put me on hold for the 15th time, only to come back and state the good news, they can provide me the new customer rate AND waive the $20 service reduction fee. However, prior to placing me on hold -- again -- I pleased with the rep not to waste any more time trying to retain me as a customer and that I needed to get on with my day. Good on my word, I reminded the rep and repeated my demand that he cancel my service immediately. On hold again I went. This time service was actually canceled. It's a broken system filled with broken providers led by broken people with customer service teams staffed by broken reps. I'm off to the next crappy provider, but at least they can't be as bad as Liberty! read more

Liberty is the worst company to deal with in the island. I placed my order in December 21, 2019, and after two months they still couldn't connect internet because the connection in the utilities pole in front of my house was to talk, after telling them to come with a bunker truck to make the connection they say they couldn't accept my request as the connection should be reachable via stairs, and the problem is that the space below the connection box in the pole is a street parking which I don't have control of, they denied my request and I canceled the order, they weren't very supportive or very willing to help in this situation. A lot of friends and family advise me not to go with them, and I still gave them an opportunity, but they disappointed me. They could do better, very unfortunate a very big organization is not willing to help customer outs. Good luck with your business. read more

Horrible. Unfortunately they are the only "high speed" provider in the apt I live in (San Juan Rio Piedras) Crystal House Apt. Go with Claro Fiber Optic if you can. This "NON Service" Provider claims that their service is alway great when you call to complain that you have no service? This companies "Modus Operandi" is to claim that all lights are green and their customers are always good to go with excellent signal to access the internet, when in fact I do not believe that they have paid their satellite access fees which would account for why customers continuously find themselves without service. So, if you are one of these unfortunate customers, find another internet service provider or an "actual" internet service provider. I signed up for 70mbps in 2019. Speed was ok up until about 1 mos ago. I put up with the spotty speed; but finally decided to give them a call a little over a week ago. The first response was that I was doing something wrong, then finally the representative said she was going to send a tech to my house. They gave me a 5 hour window to wait for him and they couldn't understand why that was unacceptable. When the tech came he said my internet was slow because my devices couldn't handle the bandwidth. So my phone that is two years old can't play a minute and a half video, and my 50" tcl roku tv can't play youtube videos bc they're outdated. (He said this to me over the phone bc he was dealing with my wife who was there at the time) When I got home the problem wasn't fixed, so I called again. The representative that I spoke to told me that the tech was wrong and that my devices were not the problem, so he sent out another tech. This time I was home and it it just happened to be the same guy. He said it was fixed and we checked the speed on liberty's speed test site; but the problem wasn't fixed. I called them again. The said they found an external problem with their equipment in the street and that somebody would be out to fix it yesterday. Nobody came. I called today and they said that they had rescheduled for today; but I guess it was too much to ask them to call me to let me know. You need to understand that the whole time my tv wouldn't play a YouTube video the liberty speed test site said I was getting 87mbps. They are ripping people off in a big way. Saying that you're getting what you're paying for; but in reality you are not. Stay away from liberty cable of Puerto Rico if at all possible. I've been with Liberty for about three weeks and in that short time they've been able to let down a new customer 3 times! That's once per week! Their customer service also leaves a lot to be desired. For example, when I called to report my internet was down the rep actually suggested that I can log on to the website to report the issue. I asked how does she plan that I do that without internet and then she took my claim. I am very disappointed with this service. I'll give them one more chance before i change providers. read more

The are the worst at customer service even more now when buying choice cable tv. I have been having to call month after month. The agents are rude and extremely disrespectful. Even when speaking to supervisors they don't know what they are doing and ask for your social security number as if it were nothing, instead of a security number. Risking identity theft all the way. I may self am a customer service agent and feel ashamed to have to call PR and receive this kind if service of uneducated employees who care less for the service they offer. Their Internet Service is beyond awful, we have 100mgbs and its straight garbage, my latency goes up to high 900s on a daily basis, and lets not even mention their support team...It doesn't matter how many times I call, they always say theres nothing wrong with my connection. I pay $103.00 a month for Internet service which is actually great when it is working. The one star review if for the technical department which was due to arrive yesterday as scheduled and never showed. I called and they said they would be here early the next morning to which they never showed again. It's nice to operate in a country with not much competition which will allow you to get away with service this bad. read more
