Though Dave seemed to always find a way to say "this costs more" or "this was not in the agreement..." One would think that disposal would be part of the agreement. I explicitly laid out what I wanted done and paving stones was ancillary to my want - I needed the grade raised 300 mm and I was very clear on this. Dave decided that 300 mm was way too much and involved too much work. After constant arguing with him about what needs to be done (what we agreed upon) he had so warmly ripped up my yard, put 10% of the stone down and then pulled some super shady stuff. I saw him moving stone with the Bobcat, and go out back and say I am going to get survey gear to layout the grades as needed. He tells me he is just moving the stone to make room for gravel to come in. I go out, and when I return, he has removed all of the stone and equipment. Left a ton of trash lying around. When called on it, he said he was quitting and my deposit is now his. I started to pursue a legal claim, but when doing the worst case math - not that he would have kept receipts - I figured whatever, I would likely get back just the legal fees. Needless to say, he left our backyard ripped up (no grass), no patio or walkway and in need to hire someone else on short notice in the middle of the summer. We managed to get it done using Western Paving Stone, but Dave and his wife are total crooks. I wish nothing but bankruptcy for them. I refrained from leaving comments out of being a reasonable person, however, seeing he has done the same thing to someone else, a negative review is warranted. My backyard looked more or less the same as the other person.

Aces Landscaping exceeded our expectations for our backyard landscaping project. It was a mess of…read moreovergrown weeds and shrubs. Then Jamie came in and transformed it into a magazine photo from Better Homes and Gardens with black mulch, river rock creek bed, raised garden beds, transplanted flowers and shrubs, edging and not a weed in sight! Jamie also put in a new cement sidewalk in the front yard, extra wide to accommodate my walker. I'm very pleased with Aces Landscaping service and work ethic. They were very tidy as well. I highly recommend Aces Landscaping Saskatoon - worth every penny!
