All tables were taken later but we arrived early and my wife and I were quickly given a table for two hours since we did not have a reservation. We questioned the size of the main course pumpkin potato dumplings in a wine sauce and the waitress offered a smaller portion as a starter. We both had the Gołąbki made with wild boar in a beer and mushroom sauce rather than the expected tomato sauce. As we finished the maitre d suggested their special desert of mascarpone and blue berries and sour cream. When we hesitated he offered two half servings. What can I say. Chicken breast, carrot, herb millet and spinach and cheese sauce was excellent. Red wine was very good. Meringue with cream, blueberries, apple and banana was like pavlova, a big portion. My partner liked his pork ribs and fruity creme brulee as well. Prices are very low for a Finnish tourist - this would have cost three times more in Helsinki. I highly recommend this restaurant even if you're staying at the Katowice old town or centre. It's worth it!
