Arrangements must be made in advanced and the key is left for you. The room was very large and clean with a bed, small sofa, cable TV, mini-fridge and microwave as well as a private bathroom. Our room had windows looking out to historic downtown Lexington, which seemed like a pretty cool place, although we didn't get to really explore it. At around $100 a night, it is considerably more expensive than the local motel competition, but I would guess much nicer. There is no private parking lot, but it isn't really an issue with free parking available anywhere you see a space in Lexington. The inn itself can be hard to find. The only streetfront indication is a marked door which leads to a flight of stairs in between a couple of shops.

I was told that the hotel was booked up due to the graduation. I decided to clean the shower myself. They also did not have any tissue in the bathroom. The manager Tina Warren was rude when I telling her about my stay. I asked her if this location was a franchise. Her exact words were, did you see the name on the building? I would never stay here AGAIN.

One restroom in particular is a great example of a very early "modern" bathroom, the tub is made of wood! The brunch was nice, the food was good. They have some kinks to work out but they admitted this was going to be a learning curve. Food tended to run low and not enough staff to refill, food wasn't always warm. On the other hand, everything tasted good, it was fresh, there was a good selection, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Worth the price of brunch and we will try it again. Get way out of the city and visit one of the nicest pre-civil war homes in the area!

Cleansiness is HUGE for me, I walked barefoot in her beautiful wood finished floors....and to my surprise the "clean" feeling was omnipresent....my towels, the bath mats everything was just impeccable. Just when I thought this hotel couldn't get worse, they proved me wrong. I checked in today, went to my room and unpacked. Time to warm up some leftovers...then I discovered the room didn't have a microwave. I checked with the front desk to see if I could get a microwave moved to my room and the response from the front desk clerk...."all of our microwave rooms are already booked". "MICROWAVE ROOMS"???? Really??? I'm sure this hotel is independently owned and operated, but the lack of effort they put in is almost shocking. I'll be so glad when business no longer brings me to Richmond, MO because the Super 8 is, undoubtedly, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Avoid this dump like the plague!!!
