Supposedly Dr. Shanley is a good doctor, but we have not had a good experience. In no particular…read moreorder, here have been our challenges. Dr. Shanley misdiagnosed my mother.... we informed him that we thought she had Alzheimer's and after testing her, he said she did not have dementia. Two years later she was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Also, he sent my mother home with her Alzheimer's medication prescription, but did not write down for her how often she has to take the medication. Do you think she remembered what he told her? His hours are very limited. He does not work on Wednesdays, and we needed to reach him on Friday afternoon and he had already gone home for the day by 2:45 pm. On a positive note, we needed to get my mother in for an emergency visit, and when his office was open on Monday, we were able to schedule an appointment for later that day. We have called Dr. Shanley's office twice to get an update on my mother's latest visit to his office to see what he thinks. He has yet to call us back. It's been two weeks since her visit.

She would not respond to multiple requests to confirm a prescription with my pharmacy. I drove all the way to her office (not local) for an appt her staff scheduled only to be told it was her day off. Her staff provided me contact info for her back up. However that dr had no knowledge that she was covering for Dr Agnello & she didn't have any openings to see me. She never calls with test results, etc etc.

This year I made an appointment for my annual and got a call saying she didn't come in today 2 hours before my appointment. I rescheduled and then got cancelled on again and was told if I was having a problem then I should just go to the ER and I can make an appointment for the end of December. Staff is very rude and does not acknowledge my problems. Never had a nurse come in to even take my blood pressure or ask me questions. Got lectured about how I should have gotten my HPV shot every time I go. Glad I found a different doctor
