Neoluxor sells all sorts of books--novels, non-fiction, technical books, children's, you name it--and in a variety of languages as well. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help. They have a great selection of school books and study books as well here, as well as a rich variety of books in Czech language, guide books, cook books, wine books, Art books, books on Prague, Moleskine notebooks, children books ... However- this place can take a few tips from the best cafes in Europe. First of all don't advertise you're a coffee/bookshop if you aren't!!! This was one of the most disappointing of all things here. To come in and find a small bookshelf of Czech books that seem to be published by fra is interesting- but not enough to call yourself a bookshop. Secondly they allow smoking inside, is this not 2014? Get some ventilation or call it quits for smokers inside. Thirdly they only offer bleached white sugar. Again is this 1990 when raw sugar is not the king of cafes? I expected more cafe fra. You're lucky you have a nice place and staff to pick up your slack.

I have to give Talacko Music 5 stars. It's the kind of store I could spend hours in. Though the…read moreworkers don't really speak English they will try their hardest to find what you are looking for. In my case I was looking for lesser known piano works by Czech composers. I ended up with some etudes by Klement Slavicky, and some early lesser known works by Suk and Smetana. I was looking for some Moscheles, and one of the workers said he wasn't really Czech, but I beg to differ - he was born in Prague and lived there until he was 14! I recommend Talacko Music - if you like sheet music, it's a browser's paradise.
