I requested a tax preparation for my elderly father as POA. Given the brief information I provided…read morein the Yelp request, Philip was able to determine that I needed to file for three tax jurisdictions: federal, NJ non-resident and CA resident. After sharing tax documentation for my father, Philip worked quickly to prepare drafts of the tax returns within two days. We signed and finalized the tax return e-filing the very next day. He was able to walk through the complex real estate related capital gain/loss tax issues from step-up basis from a death of the spouse, federal exclusion for principal residence to NJ refund of estimated gross income tax collected at the time of closing. In fact, he had prepared the appropriate refund claim documents that I can send to NJ Division of Taxation without any additional charge; I am quite pleased that Philip did not require an additional fee to the initial quote that he provided as the response to my Yelp request for these extra claim documents. I feel that PA Financial, CPA had charged a reasonable tax preparation fee given the complexity of the tax issues involved. All throughout the tax preparation process, Philip was responsive to my questions and concerns and accommodated for the difference in timezone (I lived in CA). Although I do not have a future need for NJ tax filing, I would highly recommend PA Financial, CPA firm for your NJ resident or non-resident tax preparation needs.

They have been my go-to for all things taxes for the past 5 years because their prices are fair, they're open to questions, and they take time to carefully answer them in a way that's easy to understand. Whether you're a business owner whose tax prep can be quite a bit more involved or you require simpler tax prep services for yourself and/or family, I strongly recommend giving them a call to start working with them. All of my tax returns have been better than expected working with them. And it feels good to learn how it all works when Mr Perry breaks it all down for you.

I was looking to get a consultation with Mr. Perry to explain the specifics of my needs, however the representative stated that Mr. Perry wouldn't be available until May. However, the representative stated that she could be helpful. I started to explain my needs, then she interrupts me and says, "We need all the details of your situation, and when you're serious, about doing business with our firm, please do call us back." She proceeds by ending the telephone call. It is in my opinion, that when working with potentially "new" clients, that you may have a bit more patients to understand their needs. Also, please don't offer your time when you truly do not mean it. Hopefully, they will improve their "new" client relationships in the future.

Their team worked directly with the revenue agent, provided strong documentation, and showed the returns were prepared correctly. They were able to get the IRS to accept my carryforward losses, and Badran Tax successfully challenged the proposed changes after their detailed review which saved me thousands in penalties and interest that were not supposed to be assessed to me. They were very responsive in their portal, accurate, and professional. 100% highly recommend them for any IRS representation.

They charged $2500 up front but never did respond when I asked what that money would cover. After waiting a week with no answer, since I was in a hurry to resolve my tax problem, I just paid it. I wish I hadn't. Over more than a year, they took weeks to respond to messages, and getting them to actually do any work was like pulling teeth. I had lost my records when my business closed down, so I needed them to reconstruct my financial picture from that year (the main reason I had a tax issue and something another accountant had told me could be done). Instead they simply asked me to estimate the numbers, which they used to fill out the tax forms and make the calculations. Big whoop. If I could do that myself, what was I paying them for? It certainly wasn't worth $2500, the hundreds I had to pay to give them power of attorney, or the $700 more they demanded to actually file the past-due returns. They wanted even more to dissolve the business, file another return, etc., but I stopped it there. When I had questions, I couldn't get answers. They would just not respond. And when I called to speak to Mr. Badran directly, I was polite but couldn't get a full sentence out. He would interrupt every time I tried to speak, but he never actually said anything. He didn't explain what they were doing or why, just rambled about nothing. In the end, I paid over $3000 just to file two old returns, and it took me more than a year and a ridiculous amount of mental anguish and frustration. I've really held back on how angry I am here. Please don't waste your time and money.
