Had dinner last night. The food was excellent I can recommend the scampi and especially the plum cake ( the serving of cake was way too large for one) Our one disappointment was that they did not accept credit cards contrary to what is reported. Luckily my colleague had a EC card but it rather spoiled a pleasant meal read more

I had dinner here two nights ago at sunset time. I really loved the view overlooking the sunset on the sea as we waited for our dinner. The location is beautiful with huge windows so you can enjoy the seascape. The menu had options for everyone. They had a variety of burgers (fish, beef, veggie, beef-ostrich, and chicken). They also had soup, salads, steaks and fish. This week is "lamb week," so they also had a few lamb specials. I ordered their Chili-Cheese Burger and my husband had their fish burger. The burger bun was delicious and my burger was juicy and tender. The "chili" was actually a pepper sauce that was spicy and tangy. My husband loved the fish burger and thought it was seasoned & cooked perfectly. We both had sweet potato fries, which were crispy and delicious. The service was also great. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We definitely plan to come again! read more

The fish was not specially good and it was horribly prepared. Everything was soaked in bad quality oil. The potatoes as side dish were comparably bad, and the meal was not even cheap.

They usually have a good selection of desserts in their case and they make a great cappuccino. I haven't tried their lunch/dinner menu, but they have standard German fare and a few soups as well. The staff is very friendly and they have big plate-glass windows overlooking the sea. They have a few large outdoor tables as well for when the weather is nice.

Heute, am 22.03.2011, waren wir zu Gast im Leuchtfeuer in Cuxhaven. Nachdem wir am Vortag einen wunderschönen Abschluss im Leuchtfeuer verbracht haben, reservierten wir für den heutigen Tag den gleichen Platz zum Scampiessen. Beim Betreten der Lokalität, wurden wir freundlich begrüßt, der Tisch war reserviert und eingedeckt. Das Essen hat unsere Erwartungen nicht nur erfüllt, sondern übertroffen. Zu den nett angerichteten Scampis wurde Brot mit einem Schälchen ÖL gereicht, dazu zwei Soßen. Als wirklich guter Esser mußte ich nach 1,5 Portionen passen. Es war ein wunderschöner Abend und wir können das Leuchtfeuer nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. read more

Schönes Ambiente, super Blick über das Meer. Nette Karte. Das hat uns animiert, einen Tisch zum Abendessen zu reservieren. Die Kellner sind super geschult und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist leider fürchterlich. Hört sich gut auf der Karte an, aber handwerklich mangelhaft umgesetzt. Die Saucen zu den Nudeln meiner Kinder und zum Essen meiner Frau war aus der Dose und die darin enthaltenen Champignons ebenso. Das geht garnicht. Schade. read more

Super nett hier, Sonnenuntergang und gutes Essen genießen. Hier kann man das Essen natürlich nur genießen wenn man nicht auf Touristennepp aus ist. Hier gibt es ehrliche Kochkunst. Wer Pommes und fritierten Fisch will sollte woanders hingehen. read more

Sehr lecker, vor allem kreativ (Pute mit Currysauce, I love it). Leckere Cocktails und der Blick ist unbezahlbar! Unsere kleine Tochter kann auch immer mit, da schaut keiner seltsam, auch wenn es mal später wird! read more

Zum Kaffee und Kuchen super tip zum essen ist es nicht soooo zu empfehlen da es relativ wenig Auswahl gibt und die Preise recht hoch. Nette Bedienung und alles ging recht schnell read more
