PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Here is a short version of a very traumatic experience! My grandson had pinch marks on his arms for several weeks. Finally he told us that his teacher Ms.P pinched him! Ms.K was seen thru the window gripping my grandson by his shoulders and loudly speaking directly into his face after 30 seconds of his arrival. When questioned about this she denied any wrong doing and went on to say that she dreads the time that my grandson gets dropped off! Asked to see the recordings from the camera for the past 3 weeks. After several days and many lies later we learned from their other location in N.Riverside that the cameras do not work. How is this safe? No cameras? In this current world we live in who in their right mind would leave their young children in a place that does not provide cameras. Ms.P and Ms.K should never be allowed to work with children ever again. The entire staff is extremely uneducated and unprofessional! DCFS has been notified! Please keep your children safe and do patronize Let's Play Daycare on 26Th street in North Riverside. read more

Saw kids walking down my block with staff, witnessed teachers screaming at the little kids :( I know I wouldn't want anyone who I pay and trust to look after my kids to speak to them the way the staff was. Kids learn from what they are taught. Please lets try to do better! read more

This facility was very unprofessional and the teachers never know what's going on. When a serious incident happened with my nephew it was dismissed and handled very poorly to the point where administrators had to get involved. read more

If I could I would give this place a negative rating. I dropped my nephew off at daycare and while STILL punching in his number to check him in for the day not even minutes of him being there I witnessed Miss Kary screaming at him. I ended up calling there because the situation was not sitting with me well, if I didn't have to go to work later in the day I would have took him home with me. I was so confused why she was screaming at him as soon as he walked in the door. Not to mention he had not been at daycare prior to this day for 4 days so whatever she was disciplining him for I'm not sure why it wasn't taken care of the same day. He's 5 how is it beneficial to scream at a 5 year old days after an innocent? She was so unprofessional and ignorant to me on the phone, she was insulted I expressed how the day seemed to start off really negative. She at first told me she didn't know what I was talking about and then she told me that she didn't scream at him. Even though she did, she had her hands on his shoulders and was crouched down eye level with him. She went on to express how she dreaded 10:50am everyday because she knew my nephew would soon be at daycare for the rest of the day. She admitted to me she has had conversations with other children's parents about my nephew and how they think he is also a horrible child. She told me that the place is short staffed and when my nephew gets there her day is filled with nothing but havoc. I couldn't even believe what was coming out of her mouth. Ms. Perla was accused of pinching my nephew. He had pinch marks on the back of his arms. When my nephew was asked about the marks and where they came from he said Ms. Perla pinches me when I'm bad. When asked to view the cameras about both incidents we were told that no workers in the daycare have access to the cameras and they would have to set up a meeting with the person who has access to them and Ms. Martha who is apparently the director of the daycare. The meeting did not take place until Friday when the incident was brought to the daycares attention Tuesday. Friday no one attended the meeting besides Ms. Kary. She claimed the camera footage deletes after 24 hours. How ridiculous of a lie is that. She said the person In charge of the cameras was there Friday morning before the meeting and told her that basically there is nothing they can do to access this footage because it's deleted already.. How convenient is that!? What camera deletes footage after 24 hours!?!? She gave us a number to the man in charge of the camera footage and told us that he's out for the rest of the day so we wouldn't be able to speak to him until after the weekend. His name was Jeff. After leaving the meeting that resolved absolutely nothing we called the number she gave us to find out Jeff was actually in for the day, we drove to the other location in north riverside to speak with Jeff. He was very professional and apologetic but expressed how he knew NOTHING about a meeting, he didn't get information about needing footage until Thursday and that the camera that he needs to be accessed for the footage DOESN'T EVEN WORK AND HAS NOT WORKED IN YEARS!!!! He said he NEVER relayed any information back to anyone at that location earlier that morning when he went there to try access the footage that it deletes after 24 hours and he didn't know why she would tell us that. I could tell you why because they are LIARS!!!! Why would Ms. Kary make up a lie about the footage if the camera didn't even work?? The whole situation is absolutely ridiculous. It was one thing after another, excuse after excuse. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I gained more horrible knowledge about this location through a neighbor that this location put bricks in a child's backpack because the staff claimed he was too hyper!! I feel HORRIBLE my nephew had to be surrounded by people who picked a profession where they clearly don't have the patience!!!! I would not trust this location with my pet hamster!! BEWARE!! This place is horrible they left my 8 week old on the floor unsupervised and a bigger kid bit his cheek. I had to take him to the hospital and the staff knew the bigger kid was a biter since he had bitten another child a day before. The staff only care about taking your money and not about the children. This is an example of how negligent this place is with infants and toddlers. Thankfully I found a trustworthy home daycare where my little one is well cared for. read more

My Son has been going here for about 2 years now and we love it, the teachers are wonderful and the place is spotless. Last summer he was old enough to do camp and I'm amazed by all the great things they do, museums, parks, zoo trips etc, now he's full day and he love it !!!! excellent center and the dedication of the staff is wonderful my son loves to go there every day !! HORRIBLE! Do not take your kids here! My daughter went there and she was still learning how to going to the bathroom on the toliet. Miss Felicia called to let me know my daughter had a potty accident. So I went to go get my daughter, she was crying in the corner and proceeded to tell me the teacher spanked her butt because she went poop in her pants. They should never yell or lay a hand on any child. It takes kids a little bit to learn how to go on the toliet. I am call child care services, to report this daycare. read more

I have been taking my daughter for almost 3 years and she loves going there. The fact that from day one she never cried put me at ease. I had no one else that could help me take care of her so I put my trust in this daycare center and I do not regret it at all. There is structure and they follow a schedule. She has learned many amazing things there and she even sometimes brings homework home. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. They provide a wide variety of food and snacks for the children's breakfast, lunch and snacks. They have menus posted in there classrooms. The teachers even use the ClassDojo app so the parents are able to see some of the kids daily activities. All of my questions and concerns have always been answered. Our son started there when he was getting close to 1 year. The first 2 years we were happy with the service, although every once in awhile we had troubles communicating with his teachers. The teachers are changing often and not all of them speak fluent English. We have never received any complains about his behavior. On the contrary, all we've heard was how peaceful and happy he was. Everything started to change for the worst when he entered Pre-K group. New teachers were hired again, among them a very young Ms Paula (not sure if that's the correct spelling). It was obvious from the start she was completely inexperienced... Probably like in most daycares, whenever there was any incident involving your child the parents would (should) get a "report" to sign (and a copy after signing it). Sometimes because children were fighting or because a child hurt himself while playing etc. We received "reports" every once in awhile, like most parents. However, we've noticed that we were receiving more reports and our son started to use inappropriate words. I confronted Ms Dennise, who was long time employee there. I let her know that we were concerned about that. She told me that the Pre-K was very problematic group and admitted that the teachers were having problems with some of the children in the group. I need to add at this point that it is a common practice in this daycare that teachers are bringing their children to the center. Ms Dennise's son was in the Pre-K group too and she was involved with Pre-K group herself, which I found really odd. It wasn't long before we started getting reports that our son is being aggressive, especially towards Ms Paula and later towards himself. I started questioning Ms Paula being able to teach this "problematic" group of kids, especially with a help of Ms Dennise, whose own son was part of the group. Soon, I was being told that the teachers did't appreciate the language our son was using (please note, I let the daycare know several months before that our son is bringing those words home and that it needs to be eliminated. English is not our fist language and not the language spoken in our house, thus he picked up these words in the daycare). On one occasion I received a phone call from Ms Dennise that I need to immediately pick up my son as he is hurting the teachers! She sounded as if he was running around the daycare with an ax... When I picked him up, I received a report stating that my son scratched the teacher's hand... Ms Paula's... It really upset me. Especially that on another occasion, when I was picking up my son I noticed bruise above his eye. When questioned, Ms Paula said he bumped at another kid... No report waiting for me... I asked her to prepare a report which she wasn't very happy about, since it was the end of the day. I think around that time, the daycare brought another teacher, more experienced - Ms Gabbi. She worked in another center (they have 3 centers). Ms Gabbi was supposed to help Ms Paula with the group (as she clearly wasn't able to deal with Pre-K children, if with any children), it was a good try since Ms Gabbi was able to find a connection with our son. At this point we started considering change of the daycare. I really believe that our son became their scapegoat. It seamed that whatever wrong happened, it just had to be his fault... One day, we came to pick him up... they didn't noticed us since we came earlier than usually. We witnessed how our son was building a tower out of blocks... he got pretty far and seamed to be happy. Then another boy run towards the tower and pushed it... Our son's got really angry and screamed, while the other boy, run to his mom... Dennise. The daycare decided to move our son to another center - where Ms Gabbi worked full time. We agreed to try, especially that Ms Gabbi was very smart and compassionate teacher and we all trusted her. Everything finally seamed to be going smoother. Within 2 weeks he spent in the new center with Ms Gabbi, we noticed positive changes. After exactly 3 weeks, on Friday morning I dropped my son off and was on the way to work, when I received a call from the center informing me that they were stopping the service as of today... Just like that! I demanded to talk to the owner. Carolina (owner) to whom I spoke for the first time ever, said she's been too good for me and can't do that forever. I told her I need at least a week to find a new daycare, she agreed. After leaving Let's Play (being there 3 years) our son was able to name 1 letter (1st letter of his name), he was supposed to be preparing for kindergarten. After two months in new daycare (without a single aggressive episode) he knows all the letters of the alphabet and can spell and write his full name, he is practicing additions now. We went to psychologist and after two sessions, she said that there were definitely negative memories from old daycare. I wish we did something earlier! I like Let's Play child development center because when you enter you could see the classrooms and how engaged the staff is with the students. The staff is very friendly and welcoming to everyone. This daycare is an overall safe environment for students. I was very impressed with the new location in Broadview. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

My four year old started there this fall when my husband's work schedule changed requiring us to change from our current situation that was an at home sitter and preschool, it was a hard change for as I was very impressed with all he learned in that program. We liked that Let's Play offered preschool curriculum along with day care. One thing that always impresses us is the cleanliness, you can smell (not overpowering) the cleaning products and not matter what time of day you are there something is being thoroughly cleaned. Also the food is made fresh on site not rewarmed prepackaged food from a commissary somewhere, my son talks about all the different food and veggies he likes at school. The teachers seem genuinely happy and to care for him and all the kids. I feel very confident he is well taken care of. My son is very happy and really likes his teachers and all the staff, I find his social skills/behaviour (like standing in line, table manners etc.) have greatly increased since starting and I am sure that is lessons that are reinforced at school. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is the preschool curriculm itself, I think it is a little more free play and from what I can tell a lot of combining the three and four year olds for activities, so I am not always sure my four year old is being challenged as it seems a lot of the things he tells me he learned in school now are things he already knew from last year. But it is a preschool and they learn from repetition and since I am confident in the care they give him I would not change where I take him. read more

I really enjoy this daycare for my daughter, she has been attending Lets Play Child Development for two years now, and she loves it. She started at the North Riverside location and then moved to the new location Located on 9025 W Cermak Rd. I can honestly say the staff at this location is great with the kids and always welcomes the parents. Once you walk into the daycare you can see the open setting and it makes it very welcoming. My daughter enjoys all the activities and everything that she has learned with her teacher Ms. Sarai and she loves to tell me what she has done during the day. I love that the teachers speak in both Spanish and English to the kids, they get to learn different languages at once. They plan events every year for each Holiday which is amazing, it welcomes the parents to be more involved with the children. its such an amazing experience to see your child perform in such a way. I recommend this daycare because I see the effort the teachers make to make everyday a learning, safe, and caring environment. read more
