I've gone twice in the last month and had vastly different experiences. The first class went well over the two hour window and we weren't even halfway finished with our pictures. I ended up leaving at 10 o'clock, so a full hour after the class was supposed to be over, with a canvas that was 3/4 of the way painted. The instructor was great, but the focus on getting the art done wasn't there. My last class wrapped up a few minutes after the two hour window, but there were a lot of details in the painting. I realized that most of the time the artist is painting the picture for the first time as well, so you're both figuring out details together. That's frustrating. Overall, it's a fun experience, but if you are not an artist at all, don't expect to walk away with a beautiful painting. There isn't time for the instructor to come and help you flush out any issues you have.
