For our first session I had a spot all picked out and ready to go, on the walk there Nicole stopped us for a few quick photos by an interesting multi-paned window in the Pearl that had holiday lights shining on it. When I am out in public and see another photographer using an area, I wait my turn.It is just respectful. However, while out taking first time fishing lifestyle photos of a little boy, she strolled in with her clients and stood directly behind my subject. Just enough that even photoshop is struggling removing her in her bright maroon shirt as half of her is behind him. (Who likes adding more editing time as it is...). She clearly saw us, and didn't care. If I was the client I would be appalled. It is one thing if it was a random person not knowing, but this is a professional that shoild know better and be more respectful. Please be more considerate while out in the field.

Adopting Stella was such a huge event in our life, I really wanted to capture some of the puppy times before they were gone. And she was growing so fast, I knew I had to act quick! Kelly did an amazing job capturing our life with dog. Stella was a little tense/nervous/confused about all the commotion and posing for pictures, so I was worried that would show through in the photos. I was also afraid that my own awareness of the camera would not allow us to look natural in photos. I was so wrong! Kelly was able to beautifully catch the "real" moments in between any bouts of awkwardness. :) Our shoot was one week before Christmas, so I wasn't expecting to see our gallery until after the holidays - to my surprise and delight, Kelly had our full gallery online on Christmas Eve!
