There are also cameras, workers, and the people leading the activities to assist you and your child. The activities are wonderful, and build responsibility and self esteem. Plus kids learn to read write, and problem solve. You can fix cars, be a firefighter, a chocolatier and much more. Some jobs pay with play money, and some you have to pay for with play money. This teaches adding and subtracting, as well as money knowledge. You can also cash in for toys. There are one or two activities that you have to pay a few actual dollars more, but totally worth it. There's a real restaurant where adults serve you which is unusual as kids do most of the "jobs" in the city. It's a real self contained mini city. The price is right; it was about $50 for a child and adult and you got all the activities for 5 hours. Come on!

We had a blast at this old school kids theme park. It is geared towards pretty young kids, with…read moremany fair type rides, most of which children can ride on their own (and some where no adults are allowed). And my kids loved it! They loved being able to go on repeated rides without needing us with them by their side: the lines were short. We paid a fee at the entrance to get in, and everything after that was free- although I believe they have a seperate bowling area which is a seperate fee, but we did not go in. They also have a covered area with ping pong tables. I was impressed with the low cost of the fair food. It didn't seem to be unmarked like many theme parks in the US. We snacked on baskets of churros: which were pre-made, but still ok, and a fried swirled potato which they made right in front of us, from one entire potato, that was pretty good! There are many, many covered little pavilions for birthday parties- a smart idea. We went in to an animal show, which was not the best, with very theatrical presenters. Some of the animals were cool, but at the end the presenter used dinosaur puppets. A couple of the rides were closed due to the cold winter weather and strong wind.

If you hire the park for a birthday, all the kids invited get a bracelet for riding the games at the park, you get a barbecue stand with speakers (for music) and a cake (but better bring your own).

There are multiple playgrounds, a body weight fitness park, hike and bike trails, a pond, open fields, and a fantastic view of the skyline above it all. When we arrived, there were a lot of people enjoying the park, mostly in the shade on picnic blankets because it was quite warm. The entire park is very well maintained; we saw several people working there from maintenance to security. Our priority was the dog park, which is small and narrow but really lovely! It has one main entrance; once through the first gate, you can remove your dogs' harnesses/leashes, before entering through the second gate. Inside, there is a nice, modern agility course (circuit). Our old dogs were pretty worn out from their walk, so they weren't into the course, but there was plenty more for them to checkout. There are large bushes that run along two sides of the park. One of my dogs discovered a pathway between the shrubs and the wall and just nosed around back there in the cool shade. The water fountain is very nice, too, and serves both humans and dogs. There are several beautiful wooden benches throughout, many of them under the shade of the trees. While there, we saw lots of walkers, bikers, and families enjoying themselves in the park. Afterward, we stopped at the vendors and bought the most delicious lemonade with mint--yum!
