The main worker spoke English and let us know what food was available to order. Music was fun and funky. They sell homemade vermut, cava brut nature, chips, olives, piparres and salsa vermella. Should have bought their olives (2,70 € for 150g) to go! - Vermut (2,60 €) - smooth with the slightest medicinal note. Really liked it. Came with a delicious olive. - Vermut reserva (3,80 €) - more depth and flavour compared to the regular vermut. Try both to see the difference. - Carxofa (2,40 €) - artichokes with sundries tomatoes and black olives. Decent. - 2x Pintxo seito (2,00 € each) - anchovies with olives. Fantastic. - 1/2 Calamar/ventresca (3,90 €) - squid with olives and piparres. Was surprised this was only a half portion. Squid had a firm, pleasant texture. - Patates gruixudes (2,90 €) - homemade chips. They added some of their salsa vermella, which soggied up the chips. Would ask for it without. - Cured tuna (7,80 €) - came with almonds. Never have tried tuna this way. Interesting texture. This portion was more than enough. Our favourite meal in Barcelona.

The restaurant is popular among locals...I could tell that my the fact that our waiter/waitress were slightly limited in English language ability, the menu was a little limited with English description and even the whole RSVP confirmation process was done in Spanish! :) The restaurant is quite small so I recommend you book ahead of time. We managed to book a little more than a month and were glad we did! The restaurant tables were all reserved within 30 min of opening and we saw then turn away a couple who were the first to enter the restaurant the moment it opened, too. The food was all good! They are Spanish tapas style but offera a little different variation than what your average touristy places offer. I liked that they offer diff sizes for almost all their dishes..so you can try many dishes as you wish! We ordered close to 10 dishes..*gulp*..our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs...haha..but the dinner journey was awesome..every dish was tasty (even the black rice which we both had no idea was made of blood sausage...had we known..we probably wouldn't have ordered..but they still tasted good!!) And were definitely full coming out of the restaurant. Yet...the whole bill....was super affordable!! All those dishes we ordered..came out just $90ish total (net..including generous tips)! The Grilled Pork Cheeks were good, but not my favorite (I wasn't expecting them to be served on the bone, and getting all of the meat off was kind of hard.) They have a couple of English-language versions of the menu, but the staff struggles a bit with English, which personally I love when I'm in another country. The croquettes are super fresh and housemade. All of them are good but the mushroom one is amazing. The scrambled egg dish with fries (see pic) is a highlight. Comfort-food at it's best.
