If you are looking for a place to remember provence by, I would recommend this place.
The restaurant is situated in a small alley in the center of this quaint little town on the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain.
They open late, at 19.30. Perfect for an intimate dinner where you can sit in the garden away from all traffic, beneath a large fig tree (the owner sampled picked a few figs for us to taste).
Perhaps after a day of walking on the mountain?
When it comes to the food; this is one of the places you can tell that the owner has a genuine love for food. The menu is short and written in chalk on a blackboard. You can select a two course, three course or the full four at fixed prices.
The food experiments with different kitchens and flavors. The food is french but with a strong influence from other kitchens. It works!
The staff is multilingual and very friendly, there was no problem to have a pause after the main course before deserts.
The wine list is also short but has slected local wines at reasonable prices.
It is of course possible to have a glass of champagne before dinner.
In my view this place is worth a small detour! read more
