Visit in the off season or with kids…read more My first impression was this is going to to be tacky. 8 euro each in early September and no one else in the park. Also a beautiful day. We loved the experience. The first part of the tour was more for kids. You walk through time and see Dinosaurs in the trees. Also for the adults there are nice plaques about some local trees and shrubs. Each plaque had info on growth and how the plant was used. All of the information has French, English and German. The second part of the walk was on the abries. Rock overhang living places. They were used through the ages but the ones here are pretty open. But with good plaques, so you could imagine how they were used. There were other activities like rope courses for kids and adults but they were not active. So in high season take the kids. In off season it is a nice 1.5 hour walk.

As the two youngest children were wearing all in one sun suits (top attached to the bottom) it was not possible to remove the top bit and as a result we were asked to leave the park. I appreciate that the French have different rules which are to be complied with (eg no board shorts) but the signage outside the park made no reference to sun suit tops which I feel are important to protect my young family. In addition, despite the signage outside the park making explicit reference to 'no board shorts' there were a significant number of people within the park who were wearing board shorts. This seemed like double standards! Feeling increasingly annoyed and frustrated we approached the reception staff to ask for a refund and we were told by the manager that our entry fee would not be refunded. In my opinion, this was completely unreasonable and I feel completely defrauded by the park owner. Several members of staff also agreed he was being totally unreasonable and they used some rather colourful language to describe him. Unfortunately he appears to be a tyrant who revels in upsetting people. I would like to give an informed opinion about the park itself but sadly my judgement has been marred by the owner. I just hope the family we gave our entry tickets to when we left the park managed to get into the park for free but somehow I doubt it!
