Supposedly a very traditional French restaurant. I would think traditional french restaurant would serve tastier food; alas, the food was barely passable in taste.
This is a very small and quaint looking restaurant with a chalkboard that get moved to tables as a menu, and cookware hanging off of the ceiling.
- main course = 16 euros
- appetizer+main or main+cheese or dessert = 22 euros
- appetizer+main+cheese or dessert =27 euros
For appetizer, I had the butternut squash soup. It was very buttery and creamy and not very soup-like. A lot of the ppl at our table got the salmon pate, which was described to be like salmon flavoured ice cream.
For main, I had pork mignon with mushrooms and basmatic rice. The pork is oven baked and not marinated. The mushrooms were great. The rice was orange in colour. A girl at our table ordered the veal and asked for it to be "cremated", of course, the French's idea of well done means searing the meat on both sides and blue in the middle.
For dessert, I decided to skip. I was told, however, that the apple crumble was okay, but the almond in it was weird.
I've had better french food.
Service was surprisingly good, but that might be because we had real parisiens among us.
Oh and dinner doesn't begin until 7:30pm. read more
