This is a fantastic little spot tucked away in downtown Amiens, just around the corner from the Notre Dame cathedral. Unexpectedly, this was one of, if not, our favorite meal on our trip. It's basically an Indian/Italian fusion restaurant, with a decent amount of seating, and fantastic food offerings!
We weren't sure what to expect, but we ordered the mushroom truffle rigatoni and butter chicken with rice. Wow, incredibly unexpected how good they both were! For the pasta, the truffle and mushroom was almost cooked into the pasta itself, which was clearly homemade. Perfectly cooked, with some scallions and crispy onions for a topping, this was absolutely fantastic! Our other dish, the butter chicken, was very fresh and not overly heavy with cream like you tend to find in the US or UK. The chicken was not overly cooked, and the flavor was absolutely amazing! If you're used to a thick sauce, heavy with cream, this is not that. This is light, with a relatively thin sauce, but still, huge flavor.
We didn't order dessert or anything alcoholic since it was just lunch, but if you're looking for an easy spot to have a delicious lunch in downtown Amiens, give this place a shot. They're also open Monday, which is helpful when everyone else is closed. read more
