I stayed here with my wife and two kids. The place is just grand. We had a views of snowy mountains from our balcony and windows. The place is a little worn, but you can feel the history in it. It just feels magical. It's a bed and breakfast, but feels like a cozy mini hotel.
The proprietors were incredibly friendly and helpful. We asked where we could go hiking, and they directed us to a beautiful spot. Despite my not knowing more than three words in French, they put in the effort to understand me and make sure that I had a delightful visit to Axes-Les-Thermes.
The included breakfast was fantastic, with an array of pastries, meats, fruit, eggs, etc...
We're here in April. There's still a little snow up above us, and Spring wildflowers emerging. It is just beautiful. read more
