There's a caveat to my review; it's kinda difficult to find great food in Lourdes. It's just not a…read morefoodie kinda town, it's a tourist town with touristy restaurants. Most of those restaurants are one star and two stars, so in comparison to them, Le Parc is pretty decent. But keep in mind, I also have to compare it to other places in France and the food is just 3 stars.
Value:
Fixed price menu offered entree and a plate for €16, which is great by Paris standards
Food:
duck confit was tasty but it could have been seasoned better. It was good, but not incredible
French fries were a little bland and a little less crisp than they should be.
Onion soup was decent but looked like it was reheated, well, no, IT WAS reheated, which I can understand, they do that a lot in France, but it's just worth noting.
Wine:
Very affordable, several bottles under €20. Got 50cl of the house red for €5.5, great value, okay wine, still better than you'll get in the states for twice the price tho
Staff:
Very friendly, better than many French restaurants. Spoke English well, and were very polite.
Service:
Decent, although I'm still getting used to waiting forever to get the check
Cleanliness:
not your typical French restaurant, updated, modern, clean. Fresh white table cloths, nice place settings, excellent lighting. Considering it's also the site for the morning buffet for the best western it's attached to, they do a great job of making it inviting. That and the fixed price menu is what made us decide on this place.
All those factors add up to 3.5 stars for me.....and that's weighted by French standards (ie, being nice to customers adds value to my review, etc)
