I can not believe I called this number, and the actual attorney picked up the phone, Joseph Lapera. I wish I would have called this office first after going through 4 potential attorneys and losing all confidence in my legal issues, I got my answers within the first 3 minutes of my conversation with Joseph Lapera. Joseph was more than helpful.. Why can't there be more attorneys out there that can just cut and dry your legal issue if it's simple? Just a verbal conversation, not even taking 5 minutes, was so releiving. Most attorneys charged three hundred dollars for an hour with no more information than what I started with. Simply Awesome! I recommend anyone who feels at a crossroads with any legal issues to Lapera and associates. read more

A good person for consultation, and is skilled as an employer attorney. Very responsive and concise! Will consider his law firm when I have a future case that needs his profession. read more

I called via a referral from an Attorney referral firm. I would not recommend this law firm, as the call left me feeling unimportant. Mr. Lepara was short and came off as if he didn't want to be bothered. I rate this firm as a one-star firm because I have to give a rating. Just a really bad experience for me. read more

I had the pleasure of speaking with Attorney Joseph Lepera Esq regarding an HOA matter. It was a matter concerning a Tarp that was previously approved by the HOA but 18 months later they changed there minds and wanted the clear Tarp removed. I was ready to hire him although his wisdom and advise allowed me to see another perspective. He listened and came up with an alternative as opposed to a lengthy expensive drawn out process. I appreciated his advise and candor. He is truly a principled man and I am grateful to have spoken to him. If for any other reason I need an Attorney in the future I will certainly be calling him first. Thank you Sir! read more

My initial meeting with Joseph completely reset my expectations on how motivated and collaborative legal counsel could be. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and spoke at a level that was clear and comfortable that let us get directly to the pertinent issues. I came to him with a real estate contract issue and he had already litigated both sides of a similar issue - so he was able to thoroughly advise me on my situation and options to the point of helping with a step by step approach to my possible actions. I left this conversation with confidence in my knowledge of the strength of my position and that all the relevant details had been covered. I would readily recommend him and would continue working with Joseph as my counsel if the need in this case arises. read more

Excellent, empathetic and ethical. I reached out to Joseph Lepera when confronted with a particularly nasty and painful employment issue occurring at my new place of employment, a Silicon Valley tech giant. In this instance, without requesting consultation fees, Joseph was extremely generous with his time, working to understand my case, and our chances for success if a legal case were to be pursued. I was also guided in ways to pursue resolution without legal representation. Joseph concluded that he would be willing to pursue my case, (on retainer with no cost unless there was judgement in our favor), notwithstanding the fact it was absolutely no sure thing he was still on board for what he felt was "fighting the good fight". In the end his sound guidance allowed me to reach a resolution with the employer and avoid a case. Joseph was not retained, and collected no fees, but indicated it was fine, as he was satisfied having been able to help in a painful situation. Clearly this is the Attorney you will want in your corner if you have a serious need to fight for your rights and get results. read more

Wow! Mr Lepera is so dynamic. I went to him with a partnership contract issue on a real estate deal. He really knows his stuff! He was patient and thorough, taking time to talk me through various options and scenarios. I am not great with complex deals so he broke it down in a language I was able to understand, offering up advice that allowed me to get clear on the appropriate action. Further he was able to step in and mediate the conversation. We are still working on the finer details but he has us in a place where we are able to agree. I'm excited to have found him as a resource and will be using him for all legal issues. read more

Highly recommend Joseph and the team! I was not sure I had a wrongful termination case so tried to go door to door with as many attorneys in SF to hear my case. I was lucky enough to run into Joseph early on and I could not have asked for a better attorney. I was a walk in and he was gracious enough to take time out of his busy schedule to hear my case and was genuinely interested in helping me. He went through the requirements of wrongful termination in California and then illustrated how my case would align with the law. After an hour of consultation with him and his partner Patrick, they believed I had a winnable case where I could go against my employer. I thought it was a long shot but with Joseph's belief, it really made me a believer! If you feel like you have been wrongfully terminated by your employer, definitely go see Lepera + Associates! Yes, Attorney Joseph Lepera is As Good As It Gets! I found him through a referral service, he has been practicing law for over 15 years, & (EVEN with my bad phone connection during my first review with him) he was able to kindly, enthusiastically review over the next steps in my case. He put me at peace over the complexities of my first time being wrongfully accused in court! Very impressed with his professionalism and care. Highly recommend! At the same time, sad for others that his clients in the past are of a generation pre-YELP! I could've found him sooner read more

Joseph and his team were absolutely amazing! Not only were they professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They were more than understanding, patient, and sympathetic to my particular case. My initial consultation with Joseph was done entirely over the phone (Being that I live in San Jose). After just two consults with him and his team they took my case with no retainer fee. Joseph then discussed in precise detail what would happen next and what events would soon follow. He prepared everything that I would need and what I can expect over the course of my particular case. There were no unforeseen or unexpected surprises. Nothing was left untouched on the table so to speak. Joseph made sure we covered every and all aspects of my case. Throughout the entire process I felt I was in excellent hands with Joseph and his team. And his team is amazing in itself. Patrick and Linh worked miracles! They were very supportive and accommodating whenever necessary. They were there to answer all my questions and help me in anyway they possibly could. I could not have hoped for a better legal firm to handle and basically take care of everything, which in turn alleviated much of my stress, free up my time, and overall just allow me to go about my dad to day life without having to ponder about my case in the back of my head. I would highly recommend Joseph and his amazing team to anyone needing a Great attorney. I have already recommended him to a former colleague of mine, and will continue to recommend him to anyone who seeks the right, honest, sincere, and professional legal counsel they deserve. Joseph all the way! read more

In a word: WOW. Recently, I was "let go" from my job. Such a nice way to put it. What it really was was a "wrongful termination" situation, but, upon my release, I felt powerless and intimidated at the prospect of taking on a large corporation on my own. The SF Bar Association suggested I give Joseph Lepera a call to at least lay out my situation to explore my options. Just 5 minutes into my complementary consultation with him on the phone, I began to feel hope -- for the first time in months. Long story short, he assured me I did have a case, spoke to me in terms I could understand about why, and agreed to represent me on the spot. In pretty short order, I didn't have to go to court or anything (something I was dreading)! Joseph put a super tight argument together and my former company settled with me for more than I would've dreamed of but not more than I deserved given their treatment of me. I'm writing this review in the hopes of letting others know -- women mistreated in the workplace, in particular -- that you DO have options and things CAN turn out great if you have someone smart, compassionate and unrelenting like Joseph Lepera behind you. You're not alone! read more

I have known and worked with Mr. Lepera and his team now for many years. I have never met anyone with better knowledge of employment law, real estate law, or just contract law in general. On many occasions he has helped me with real estate negotiations and contracts, and I have watched as he has successfully won cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination and employer retaliation. He is fair, smart and aggressive. I highly recommend him! read more

Joseph was extremely knowledgeable, a clear communicator, and incredibly generous in his pricing. He was time efficient too....helped me get to the heart of my issues in no time. I had only one disappointment with him: I was asking his counsel about an issue relating to a transgender client of ours, and he said things about that student that were offensive to me, disparaging our client for wanting to use the pronoun "they." I find this kind of bigoted behavior unprofessional. To Joseph's credit, when I explained why trans people sometimes want to use that pronoun, and stated that I thought it was respectful and supportive to do so, he spontaneously started attempting to use the proper pronoun. So I give him an A for effort and for being willing to try to learn more about how to respect and support people who differ from the cultural norm. His legal counsel was spot on, and he was warm, supportive and caring. read more

Fantastic! I was referred to Joseph by the San Francisco Bar Association to help me solve a real estate legal issue. When I was referred to Joseph, I had already talked to two other lawyers who left me with zero confidence. Mr. Lapera exceeded my expectations and gave me solid advice. He took his time and worked through my issue with me, and educated me on how to move forward--ultimately I left our meeting feeling like I had the tools to solve the situation. My legal situation is an extremely complex one, and Mr. Lapera has been the only lawyer with the skills and knowledge to tackle it. On top of that he is very friendly, easy to talk to, and smart. I could not recommend him more. read more

After a whole year of speaking with attorneys in my hometown of Pittsburgh with no concrete results, the lawyers referral service gave me the number for Joseph Lepera...I was on vacation last summer in San Jose when an accident occurred...
