That was a great deal! The store has all kinds of stuff but the plastic bag deal is only applicable for shoes and clothes. I got some cute boots and button downs , but there was an amazing brown leather jacket that was too small for me. I urge any petite women to go try on that jacket it was beautiful but I'm a size large unfortunately :( Also: there was a lady in front of me who refused to pay taxes bc its a thrift store. When something is pre-owned it loses much of its value. Plato's needs to offer their used clothes at a price significantly lower than retail in order to make customers actually want to buy their goods. Even if something is "brand new," "never been worn," etc., why would anyone want to pay close to retail for something when they could just go buy it new in a store with more sizing and color options for only a few dollars more? That being said, Plato's still needs to make a profit, so ultimately, they just cannot offer you very much for your pre-owned clothes, even if they are in very good condition. This store is not a way for you to make easy cash. This store is a place for you to get a little cash in return for cleaning out your closet, which you can turn around and use as an additional discount on already good deals on gently-worn pre-owned clothing. I find that this allows me to keep my wardrobe constantly changing at a fraction of the price that buying clothes new at retail price would cost me (but not for free. Nothing's free). For me, it is a win-win. People always think their used crap is worth more than it is. But it's just not. If you want to make money, get a job.
