I probably shouldn't be all that surprised that this is actually a chain of coffee shops, and in a way it seemed to be a lot like Prets (as they call it in England). The odd thing was that I don't seem to remember seeing a lot of them around, but that is probably because I wasn't paying to much attention. It wasn't too bad, and I did appreciate their ready to eat breakfast options, including the sausages and eggs, though I have to admit that it is certainly not like a proper breakfast that you get at a proper cafe. The tea was okay as well, though I can't say that it really stood out. Then again, what would you expect from a chain store in the middle of Heathrow Airport.

Leon is a London-based, Mediterranean-inflected fast food chain with a large presence at Heathrow. I was looking for a pre-plane meal in T2 and this did the trick. Their options are reasonably priced and semi-healthy, with lots of thought around dietary restrictions. The meatless meatballs, made with eggplant and olives, were super flavorful. Service was good and food came out quickly. Branding is on point. This chain would do well in the US.

Oh my God, I travel a ton, close to 200,000 this year over 4million since the airlines started counting This place is my savior... I will book all Euro flights they here hair so I can have some real organic and gluten free food. Nothing like ordering and hearing "all our plates are gluten free" !! Yea! Don't miss this spot

Had a 10 hour layover in Heathrow en-route from Indiana to Ireland for my father Leon's funeral. Gob-smacked when we arrived at Terminal 2 and saw this. My father was also a Taurus. Needless to say we ate there a couple of times.

The food is pretty solid for an airport, but outside an airport, I probably wouldn't eat here. The food is pretty cheap, but it's pretty bland, especially the rice. Only adding heaps of the moderately spicy red sauce will make it somewhat exciting. Though it is filling, the chicken box doesn't actually come with much chicken but it is a pretty good combination of ingredients. The hummus was pretty decent for a fast casual place, though the accompanying pita was bad. The fries were solid but also lukewarm, so make sure to ask for fresh ones.

Just arrived from SFO and connecting onto Cologne. We stumbled upon LEON and nice to know they have vegan options :)

I had the full English breakfast poached egg pot, and I would highly recommend, it was lovely! Sausage, beans and bacon on top of a poached egg at the bottom of the tub, a really fab gluten free option Staff are genuinely lovely and work really well in busy times when there are long queues, two chaps in particular had a great repor with customers, they'll have you smiling by the time your order is ready trust me!

Leon's is my go to place for tasty food that isn't too heavy but packs a punch of flavour. As my return flight out of London Heathrow was a bit earlier, I tried out some of their breakfast options. The ruby red porridge was great - yummy oatmeal topped with an incredible cashew butter and berry topping! Great comfort food coupled with a refreshing strawberry lemonade. I will need to come back to try their poached eggs bowls.

Got the grilled chicken sammich no tomato so as to not make a complete mess on the plane. Great food. Co pilot said it's all natural and told me the breakfast is great too. Will try next time I fly through LHR.

Small portions but excellent food for an airport and just what I want to eat less junky.

Kibbeh - Bite-size footballs that need to make a touchdown in my mouth... SCORE!!…read more I went to Heathrow Airport early to beat the rush and had some time to sit down and have a proper meal. After a couple of days of toasties, chips and meat pies.... I was desperate for something ethnic. Luckily, at the end of the terminal right next to my gate was this Lebanese haven! Although this place is a chain, I would for sure tap it again if I had the chance! I enjoyed the interesting juice selection, I was able to order a mixed meze platter and the food quality was great! They were even so nice to substitute my falafel pieces with kibbeh. Never had kibbeh before?! SHAME! Basically ground meat and pine nuts surrounded by bulgar wheat, made into a cute little edible american football and fried to a nice brown crispyness waiting to by crunched by the weight of your Lebanese food hungry mouth! After having the pleasure of stuffing a combi-dash of hummus, tabbouleh, baba-g, kibbeh and leb-bread down my halal throat, how can I go back to overpriced airport terminal fish and chips?!?!?

I was drawn to it because it was something different from the standard pub grub and fast food that most other spots were offering while I await my departure. I don't believe that I've ever had Lebanese food before. So, is it good for Lebanese food? I don't know. I do, however, know that it is good for food food. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken Kofta (think that's what I had) even though I really didn't know what to expect. The rice and grilled tomato complimented it nicely and the sauce had just the right amount of heat! I also partook of the Lebanese Brew beer. That's apparently the name, style and original brewing site. It was light and smooth with a high carbonation that felt good. The restaurant is done up in bright pastels which would feel at home in a mid-century design book. The tables with small padded seats are cute and were completely filled by the time I wrapped up my meal. Service was very good with a high level of attention to detail and helpfulness. I'm glad that I didn't have to rush and decided to walk to the end of the terminal rather than just going for the traditional fish and chips! This is a unique offering and if you want something different, give it a shot!

Sure, we more or less mastered the fast casual movement with spots like Chipotle and Noodles & Company, but we haven't seem to have perfected a place like Leon yet, which has for years now been among my favorite chains in London. Fortunately, the Heathrow Terminal 3 location doesn't drop the ball. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? For an airport location, the T3 Leon spot does a fantastic job of replicating the proper stand alone spots scattered across the city. Service is snappy even when the lines get lengthy, and the folks behind the counter maintain their charm. The one notable downside is that the menu is pretty severely reduced, and I was disappointed to find that several options were missing from what I'd spotted in the city a day prior. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? I was fully expecting to pay ten pounds plus given I was at Heathrow; so you can imagine how far my jaw dropped when I saw that my Chicken Hot Box came in at under seven pounds for a good portion of grub. Great deal. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? This was good stuff - fresh brown rice with fresh and flavorful chicken accompanied by cabbage and a garlic aioli that brought it all together nicely. Spot on. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I love Leon, and would gladly eat there daily, but this location loses a star for having the reduced menu. No Star Granted.

Stopped at Leon before my flight back to the US. They had a selection of quite reasonably priced (for London) items ranging from poached eggs, porridge cooked with milk, to smoked salmon muffin. The girls behind the counter were so nice. I mean, they were working 7am Sunday! Bless their hearts. A good sign of whether it's a good restaurant is whether the airport workers eat there. In this case, all the bobbies were grabbing their morning teas/ coffees here. Very good sign as those fellas are pretty disconcerting! Only minor criticism is that the porridge is quite rich - cooked with lots of cream or milk - tasty as it maybe, I am a lactose fiend and my tummy was struggling a little on the flight.

Both of those things were giving off a fast-food feel and I was seeking something different. A couple passed by, observed my reticence, and unsolicited announced "Go in. It's really good". I encouraged the banter and asked what they loved. "The meat" was their hearty endorsement, "All of the meat is excellent". And that's all it took for me to open the door and realize that everything I'd assumed about Best Meze Grill was incorrect and everything I'd heard about Best Meze Grill (those two sentences above) was spot on. Lots of things arriving at my table free of charge is always a way to my heart. Best Meze Grill complied first with the onion salad, olives, lavash, and more. From there we segued into what we'd ordered: Cabernet and Beer (Efes) paired with a Hot Mixed Meze (£17.95; ample for 2) featured a host of delicious tastes: feta straws, falafel, small fried fish, sausage, whitefish bites, and haloumi. The Ezme Salad (£7.25) featured tomatoes, onions, peppers, and pomegranate, a mix that surely was the nectar of Turkish gods. Each Mediterranean country seems to have their own version of a similar salad; The Ezme almost had me booking a flight to Turkey. I never got around to "the meat". A second tray of complimentary treats arrived in place of the dessert not ordered. Featuring fresh fruits and sweet Turkish nibbles, this was the ideal close to a quite perfect meal. Despite the plastic-coated menu and the name, Best Meze Grill is classy and delicious and a far cry from fast food. The folks who write reviews on TripAdvisor appear to have figured this out a while ago. Now yelp fans - or at least this one - have weighed in. Good place.
