I rarely write reviews and never this lengthy, but my experience with Jeff at LEO Engraving deserves it. I came to Jeff with a very personal project: engraving a custom anniversary ring for my wife before an upcoming trip. I was working under a tight deadline and had already spoken with other engravers. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Jeff approaches his craft differently. What I expected was a simple engraving appointment. What I received was an experience. Jeff set aside dedicated time to work through every detail with me. Rather than simply taking my order and sending me on my way, he invited me into the process. He carefully converted a handwritten message into an engraving file, explained each step along the way, answered every question I had, and even allowed me to participate in the actual engraving process. What struck me most was how much he genuinely cared about the meaning behind the project. At one point he told me that while these types of one-off personal engravings don't necessarily "pay the bills," they are where he gets to truly practice his craftsmanship. After spending time with him, I understood exactly what he meant. The final engraving was a handwritten message to my wife, preserved forever inside a ring commemorating our tenth wedding anniversary. Jeff treated that responsibility with a level of care, patience, and attention that far exceeded anything I expected. He never made me feel rushed. Instead, he invested the time necessary to ensure every detail was exactly right, treating the project with the same care and importance that I felt it deserved. The engraving itself turned out beautifully, but honestly, that's only part of why I'm writing this review. In an age where so many businesses focus on efficiency and volume, Jeff reminded me what true craftsmanship and customer service look like. He didn't make me feel like a transaction. He made me feel like a collaborator. What began as an engraving appointment became one of the most memorable parts of the entire anniversary project. These guys were great to work with! I live in Tennessee, and my local engraver couldn't get the H&K markings that I needed for my project. These guys luckily had them and could put them on my receiver. From start to finish: it took about three weeks from the time I first emailed about an engraving job to me getting my receiver back in the mail. Bear in mind that the Coronavirus outbreak definitely hampered the shipping time, so I suspect the time would have been even shorter during business as usual. The folks over there were very responsive with updates and confirmations, which is a huge plus if you're from out of state and shipping to them. Very personable, but professional. The price for my engraving ended up being $90, not including shipping - which, by the way, they paid for sending my receiver back. I couldn't be happier with how the engravings turned out. My project needed some authentic-looking H&K receiver markings, so it isn't a whole lot, but the markings appear spot on when compared to actual H&K stamps. The lines are clean; no odd proportions; they really do look the part. Overall, fantastic experience with the folks at LEO Armory, and would happily buy their services again. read more

I went to LEO Engraving to entrust them with engraving my trust name on a Noveske lower that has a cerakote finish. The final results were high quality and outstanding! I made initial contact via their web form on the weekend, and had a response first thing on Monday morning. I called with a some more questions and the phone was picked up within a couple rings. Jennifer was knowledgeable and assuring in answering all of my questions, as this was my first NFA item. I headed in and dropped off the lower, was told a week turn around, but they beat their own estimate and got the receiver engraved and back to me right quick. Generally when I want quality I'm willing to pony up above and beyond for it, especially with a service like this. But I have to say the options and pricing are quite reasonable and competitive at this business. Last I'd like to mention, is as a veteran I felt very at home walking into their shop. They've got a wall of unit patches, and being right next to Davis-Monthan gave me a moment to reminisce.
