Luckily, I got hired on full time at my job that year. We lost my grandfather in November 2019 and then my father in law in January 2020. We decided in March of 2020 to start looking for homes again after being let down several times in 2016 and 2017, but we needed to be preapproved first. We humbled ourselves and were able to find a home in 2020. We started working on our credit, fraudulent activity and paying off our debts. When we first started looking for homes in 2016, I was adamant about sticking with one lender. However, this time around, I went and shopped around, one lender informed me all the first time home buyer programs were frozen. Another one only had programs availanle for people who made 40 grand or less. I was speaking about this dilemma my boss and she referred me to Alameda Mortgage. We got connected to Mario Quinonez and he made the process so easy and was always available to text. He was able to get us a first time home buyers credit. We had a few bumpy issues because we did stuff we weren't supposed to do while in the middle of escrow, but Mario was so accomodating and helped us work through it. We were able to close within 45 days on October 9, 2020 and the paperwork on the app was fairly easy. Thank you, Mario for contributing to our dream of owning a home!

Furthermore, there was no sense of urgency and indifference. I brought this to the attention of the staff and the owner, Lawrence but to no avail. Also, every request and verification from AMC was last minute and in piecemeal which was inefficient and cause of the delay. For example, I closed escrow four days ago and it has been radio silence from them. No notice of escrow closing, no congratulatory email, no communication at all. If you have the patience and don't want the personal touch regarding one of your most important purchases and life event then use AMC otherwise....
