This school is a good, affordable option for those looking to get credits before moving on to a university. However, I would not recommend this school to those utilizing veterans benefits that require more assistance like VR&E. The veteran's staff was extremely rude and disrespectful. I was belittled every time I reached out for help at their office. A staff member from another office also noted that they were being extremely unprofessional in their treatment towards me. WoW, just had a nursing student named Baylen Bettencourt start a I V on me in Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno,Ca, thing is I'm old, a very vary hard stick, even with the machines it's hard to find a vein' well Mr. Bettencourt after I told him how hard I am to get a I V in said ' he would like to look, well he looked, and unreal found one fast, one stick and it's in, unreal!! College lacks support for students. The tutor center has tutors that lack sufficient knowledge to provide help. I've tried to get help with math and science only to be shown how to solve a problem and then be told, "but I'm not sure if thats correct". The staff is horrible at responding to emails or dealing with students one-on-one. They act like you're an inconvenience to deal with. Good luck getting any calls retuned or emails responded to. Some, not all, teachers shouldn't be teaching. Huge waste of time. Currently taking a math course where the teacher, has claimed to not be familiar with the subject in years, and the academic plan is horrible. We were asked to be patient with the teacher, at our own expense of time and money. Go elsewhere for an education. Poor excuse for a school. read more

Definitely needs work with the people who work there. Veteran services are terrible. Only nice person was the financial aid person who I got all my information I needed and most sane person to talk to (not the black girl she talks like you're a waste of her time and very annoyed). The classes are very full and over booked on a wait list. Make sure you're fully prepared to schedule when you're able to ASAP. read more

If I can give this campus a one star I would, this is the worst school I have ever encountered with. The most inefficient school. Admissions, transcripts etc never picks up at any times of the day. I'm infuriated with every aspect of this campus. I had sent transcripts manually to about 18 schools with physical addresses I had to find myself. Then I received an email that I had a hold on my account so they have to wait till this was satisfied and then they can process the transcript order. This was not the problem. I then pay off my hold and call transcripts just like it said to do in the email and let María know that I need my transcript order processed. Knowing how inefficient this school is, I called the next day to make sure it was sent and she said "No I did not send it to 18 schools". Are you kidding me? There was exactly 18 schools on my order and you couldn't process it. I'm so irritated. I have dealt with west hills inefficiency for two weeks now. The dean of students never picks up or gets back to you even if you leave a voicemail. Worst school ever. Save yourself a headache and go to College of the Sequoias. read more

There's definitely more opportunity here than at most schools. Scholarships at this school are much better than the universities. The staff although fairly small deals with a lot less students than the universities, so it's easier to meet with them and solve your issues as they arise. You never have to spend your day on hold or talking to a machine. The students and staff are friendly and approachable. They are building a large student union to improve the food and hang out areas. The classrooms have students of all ages and they all bring different flavors to enrich the classes. The overall campus is attractive, green, and clean. The parking is free with no need to go through the hassle of figuring out which spots are student parking and which are staff parking. Chances are you will graduate feeling supported, accomplished and ready to transfer. read more
