We heard great things about the food so we decided to try it for the first time. Our reservation was a party of 7 and a 3y/o for 5:30 PM. We got our drinks right away, but my 3y/o got the same cup as adults. We then placed our orders. Our food seemed to take a while being that it wasn't very busy. I ordered an appetizer to keep my daughter occupied, and we had to ask for those and our side salads. The cheese sticks were the same as what I can get at Walmart. The side salad was so small I could hold the bowl in my palm. The food started coming out, but it didn't come out all at once. Some of us had been eating while the others were still waiting for their food. My 3y/o received adult-size, chicken tenders, and fries. I got a fish dinner which was only 3 tiny pieces of fish, 1 side, and a side salad for $15.99. My fish was dry and looked like it was out of the freezer. My haluski tasted too much like pepper and was mushy. My pierogies were good. For myself and a 3y/o WITH tip, my bill came to $80 which I understand there's inflation, but then reviewing my bill, I was charged for 2 to-go containers and a small pizza with 2 toppings cost me over $11 which I was not able to eat because the sauce was spicy. Actually, the sauce made my lips burn. The server herself was very nice, but the service was very poor. There were tables seated, well after we were and were gone before we were. We had to stop our server and ask for refills and our checks because we weren't checked on, even then, we still waited. It was definitely not a good experience, and I am very understanding because I've been in this industry for 26 years. We more than likely will not return! read more

When there for a good home-cooked meal. We weren't disappointed. Everything was great. All the ham and fixens we're perfectly cooked with abundant flavor and homestyle expertise. Rustic atmosphere that is bedecked with Christmas lights. The restaurant was under staffed. Our waitress was running around like a mad man. It was a Friday night during lent and the fish dinner was the special. It was typed in small font that was near impossible to read. We were told if we ordered anything other than the Lenten special it would take longer for our food to come out. I ordered the broiled halibut dinner. Others in our party got the fried fish dinner or shrimp dinner. The general consensus was that the food was cold and dry. Skip dessert, you will be much happier. Somehow I just expected more from a country club. I had eaten here years ago and remember it more fondly. The price was what I would of expected and any church fish fry, the quality about the same. This place is a local well-kept secret. I discovered it recently; the homemade jalapeño poppers are a must- filled (and I mean filled) with a mix of cheddar and cream cheese. I describe the secret wing sauce as spicy and tangy with a hint of Italian seasonings. I was pleasantly surprised that boneless wings aren't the overly breaded kind I'm used to-- they're mostly meat. I ordered the Cletus roast beef sandwich and I don't think I'll ever order anything else here-- fresh hoagie roll, loaded with real roast beef and topped with melty cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and a horseradish sauce. Got fries with it, which are fresh cut and shaken with a blend of seasonings. For dessert, I had to splurge with the peanut butter brownie delight, a brownie stuffed with peanut butter, topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fudge and caramel sauces. This place is much more than just a lounge. I was informed that after a stint of there not being any links here, they just recently reopened. To put it short, the previous owner passed away and the place of business changed ownership. We showed up early afternoon to partake in my first game ever of golf. I'm not a huge fan of golf and will never say I will be. That being said, I actually enjoyed myself. Even though we didn't call ahead to get a tee time, we were able to go out to the course. Our party was a bit larger than some on the course, so I was taught the proper golf etiquette and let the smaller groups play through. I understand the concept of the game and scoring aspect, so I wasn't totally lost when it came to the game...well not totally, I still had no idea on how to hit a golf ball properly. Golf carts are available for rental (must sign a waiver to use them) and extra golf balls are available for purchase as well. The course is actually 19 holes. I'm told because if you get to the end of your game there is an extra hole to break the tie. As with any golf course this one is split into the front nine and back nine. They are decently enough laid out for being mostly on a hill. To get to the back nine you have to cross the road, so beware of traffic. Along with the golf course, they have a clubhouse and lounge. A nice perk to this place is that you can purchase an adult beverage to take with you on the course. To do so you must leave your ID in the lounge and return the cooler case upon finishing the course. Years ago I would come here to have Sunday dinner with the family, but with ownership changing, I cannot talk to the food just yet. That will have to hold off until another visit. What I can tell you is that the decor has not changed much. This place still has that rustic feel to it and I think most people would be disappointed if it were to change. Went to the restaurant which is under new ownership. First off I must say that they had no lights on the sign near old 219 nor at the entrance of their driveway. Wasn't quite sure which building was the restaurant either as it sits down in the ground somewhat. Was kind of a maze walking into the place but once inside, it was a very appealing, cozy atmosphere. Rustic but nice.(Hasn't changed since I was there about 30 yrs ago). Was disappointed with the menu. Deep-fried apps and standard fare. Nothing "different" or "special". Kinda like a place to go for beer and pizza but w/meals too. Had chicken parm. which was excellent. Nice crisp chicken filet and tangy tomato sauce. Buns were homemade I believe, excellent. Wife had chicken/fry salad which she gave an "OK" rating. Prices were great. Our meals, a soda & 2 drafts came to $28. Just wish they had something a little different to eat. Service was good. My father was born out in coal-mining country, and in 1974 he took the family out to see his old homestead. It was also my 21st birthday, and my aunt and uncle (his brother) took us here to celebrate, as The Lemon Drop Lounge was THE place to go. I remember my uncle attempting to describe the décor, but nothing he said prepared me for the delight of seeing all those old instruments and tools embedded into the walls, the fieldstone mini cottage with waterwheel in the foyer, and those spectacular views over the mountains. A brief summer storm passed through, and it was magical to see the lightning dance among the trees. Though it's been many years ago, I well remember the juicy burgers and crisp fries, the men devouring their steaks. Cholesterol wasn't a concern then. They've nearly all passed on now, but the memory of that very special 21st birthday is forever etched in my heart! Hoping to stop in the next time I visit cousins out there. read more

Haven't been here in years until last night. Wow it was always enjoyable before, but they have have taken to a whole new level. The food the beer selection the staff, excellent!! If I could give it a negative star rating I would. The Parking lot was in disrepair and a rutted muddy mess. The door on the handicapped ramp access was locked and someone had to go inside to open it. The place was nicely decorated for Christmas and the band was exciting and excellent. Those were the only good points. We got there when only two tables were filled. After 20 minutes our waiter came by for us to order. Our drinks arrived promptly and a warmish appetizer came out within 10 minutes. The place started to fill up. The table that was there before us got their order. Then tables around us started filling up then got their orders. We were there for the band, so we weren't going to leave. Our waiter was MIA. After 2 hours and 20 minute our food arrived. The fish was browned so hard that it was like pulling a crab! My burger bun was brown and serve. To bad they didn't brown it. My onion rings still had ice on them!The onion rings were priced extra on the bill despite the waiter saying the side was included. It took an hour to get the bill. They never brought our second drink order and we bussed the table ourselves. I have never stuffed a waiter before. He was incompetent and rude. Never will I go back there. And I used to look forward to this Annual Christmas outing. The waiter probably lost a hefty tip from most people there. read more

My review is for the lounge, not the golf course. Lunch at the lounge was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Atmosphere, service and food were all terrible. I thought for a minute that I was on some hidden camera TV show where they filmed reactions of people who were intentionally served the worst food imaginable by the most inattentive service possible. Atmosphere: dark, dirty, 1970s basement feel. 30 something couple sitting in corner booth full on making out. Service: We felt like we were bothering her by being there. Food: My order was buffalo chicken sandwich. Frozen chicken patty, very greasy. Buffalo sauce was good, bun was good. Chips on the side were all crumbs. I asked for water and was given what I estimate to be a 6 ounce cup. Our server never refilled it until she came with the check. Youngest son ordered onion rings and wing dings. Again, frozen, overly greasy, no seasoning. Wife and oldest son ordered fried chicken dinner. The chicken was burnt, dried out, and not seasoned. My son will eat just about anything and he couldn't eat it. They both picked at the salad (one of which had the core of the iceberg lettuce) and ate the baked potato. Both of them told the server how bad it was and she immediately took the plates and asked if she could get them anything else. My son was so disgusted he declined to eat anything else, but my wife said she would have a cup of french onion soup. The soup was basically salty water with bread in it and melted cheese on top. She had maybe 2 or 3 bites, my son tried it, I tried it, and we left 3/4 of it there. The kicker; the bill. They charged us for the sides of the returned chicken dinners and for the soup that was offered. Not for the cup that was requested, but a bowl. So my wife's order that was originally $10.50 ended up being $11.00 and she left hungry. I mentioned to the server that this was our first and last visit to the lounge and she shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry about that". Before we got home, we were all complaining about stomach aches. By the time we got to the house, we were all fighting over who could use the bathrooms first. I recently held a work party at the Lemon Drop and it was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for better service or food! They were very patient and accommodating when we unexpectedly had an additional 12 people add onto our party. We ordered multiple dishes, which I'm sure was a challenge for the cooks, and everything came out quickly and tasted delicious! I personally had the stuffed chicken dinner which was one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the service was attentive and pleasant. Our drinks were frequently filled and we were checked on often. The meals were reasonably priced for the large amounts that you receive. They offered coffee and desserts to top off our evening, which were nothing short of heavenly. We will surely be back and recommend to others! read more
