We decided to cancel our reservation & was easily able to do so online. We were automatically refunded what we paid. The forecast changed again & now it was saying rain ending in the morning. We decided to drive up to PEC, have lunch & play in by ear. After we finished lunch, we looked at the forecast & it said no rain for the rest of the day, so we booked it online again and then headed over. We checked in 10 minutes prior to our reservation & the three young guys there found our reservation quickly then got us on our way. They were super helpful and friendly. We had a great time on the water! Started out grey, cool & and windy, but the weather god heard our prayers, and it turned out to be a beautiful day with sunshine :) I would definitely recommend Westlake Watersports for a pontoon rental.

They've got rentals for all sorts of water sports. Get there early so that you may find a parking…read morespot. There is a floating dock where the pontoons are. They give a safety briefing and instructions upon checking in. I'd probably give more stars if I hadn't rented a pontoon elsewhere a few weeks prior to this one because the 2 stars are based on the cleanliness of the boat. The other rental cleaned their boats thoroughly to the point that there weren't any spiders nor spider webs. This boat was covered in them unfortunately.

Rather then wandering around and getting into verbal confrontations with the campers, the guy should spend some time on basic maintenance like perhaps cleaning the washrooms more then once a month. The further u got from the lake the worse the water pressure was. When I was looking for a seasonal site I noticed it said pool. Well there isn't one. Nice sandy beach. As for taking care of things there it was pretty bad. So I had been told by other campers. I worked there two yrs. All the campers were happy and had said that was the best they had seen it look. I also found the owner was not a good publis relations person. He looked at it it's his campground and if u didn't like the way he ran it then leave. Thought he was a very intimadating person because of size and mouth. Rating it on one to ten on everything I guess because of seasonal location and fishing I would still have to give it a six.

He treated my wife and I to a great tour of the river and provided the…read morehistorical aspects of the islands as a seasoned tour guide, all while fishing for the elusive Northern Pike, Muskey, Bass and Perch. All of this was seamless while attending to our every need without skipping a beat! He even taught my wife (a fishing novice) how to cast. Something she never thought she would ever aspire to try. As it turned out, she out-fished all of us! We chalked it up to beginners luck :) We wrapped up the day with a delicious shore lunch where I learned of my two new favorite twists on regular BLTs (adding white onions) and French Toast (deep fried with real maple syrup and a shot of Jack) which is apparently a tradition up in that neck of the country. The fresh caught fish was also perfectly fried up and was absolutely delicious. We couldn't have asked for more during our time away from the hectic city life. We will definitely be returning to the Thousand Islands and will be employing his skills and expertise again. Thank you for the great time Dave!
