I very nearly put them in the bin, as I thought the very sight of them would be a reminder to me of my stupidity in leaving them in the line of fire! On the offchance , I asked Mr Constantine whether all was lost, and he was able to refashion the shoe, wrapping a piece of soft leather over the damaged area , and expertly stitching it all into place. You would never notice anything, and , if anything , the repaired shoe is the more confortable of the pair. The bill was a small fraction of what, in all fairness, it should have been. The lessons probably are twofold. First, we all are probably too quick to dispose of things which could be repaired. Second, this shop is a gem which should be valued and supported .

Liver Laundrette is a good little find and kind of hard to miss as they're all over town and with…read moregood reason! If you're caught short of time or as has happened many a time to moi, the washing machine breaks and your landlord hasn't been very co-operative, It's really cheap and is only 25 mins per load. The drums are so huge I've had bets on being able to fit inside, but even if that is slightly unlikely, they take a 33kg load and wash it in half the time. Winner! It's not exactly rocket science but everything is clearly and helpfully labelled and then all you have to do is wait for the magic to happen... Voila! Clean! They've also got late night opening in specific branches with the last load being 7pm so if you want a little romance struck over Bold and Lenor then this is the place. The best part is if you're in a real rush they provide a washing, ironing and folding service for a good price. (Great for students who want a live-away mum!)
