One of the things I simply loved about Alto Adige were the mountaintop restaurants. Leiteralm did not disappoint us. The food was good and hearty. We had bratwurst and mashed potatoes. Delicious. But the real draw is the view which is simply mind blowing. This place is at the top of the tramway from Vellau where you stand in a little 60cm diameter basket to go up the mountain. It is a wonderful combination with lunch at the Leiteralm. read more
