I am employed…read morein a medical bldg less than 1/2 mile from his office, and in our back parking lot spotted some forms blowing around or stuck in the bushes. They were tax forms with client's names, SSN and other private information. I also found some letters on Jim's letterhead. I called the phone # to report to him that his client's papers were strewn around a parking lot and his response was very nonchalant. He said those were already processed so I could just shred them. (!) Somehow I thought he would hurry over here to collect them, but no. While walking the parking lot on my break and looking closer, I collected at least 50 pieces of paper, some of which were letters to clients but most of which were COMPLETED tax forms. Also found a shredder next to our trash bin and more forms (unshredded) in the Dumpster. (I will be notifying the taxpayers whose forms I found and returning them.) Using this service has left people wide open to identity theft. Please be careful!

This text preparer Jim @ jims tax service located in colton not only spelled my name incorrectly…read moreon my tax forms which were filed electronically he also did not file the premium tax credit form and since we filed our taxes in July 2020 I am just now in February 2021 getting this resolved because he spelled my name wrong and he did not do a proper form so as a result I did not get the 2nd stimulus check and I had to spend over 2 hours on the phone with the irs straightening out my name change and finding out the results of my tax return finally after 8 months . When I had to make the 2nd amendment to file the premium tax credit I had to go to another tax prepare because he did not answer my calls so I am very disappointed in the service of Jim's tax service and I highly recommend that you do not use it if you do make sure you check every single form. Dot every single i and cross every single T since this is a local business in my city of Colton I will also be reporting him to the city of Colton whoever I have to . He was rude and he did not accept any responsibility for the mistake that he made the error that he made and spelling my name incorrectly and not filing the proper tax forms I had to spend another $60 on top of the $130 he charged me to get my taxes done highly disappointed
