Principal Jeanette Bray personally took us on a tour the day before school started. She also invited us to stay for the back-to-school event after we registered, which gave Haley the opportunity to meet her teacher before her first day. Ms. Rhonda, the bus driver, was also an absolute delight. She contacted me ahead of time to explain the best bus stop for Haley since the bus does not travel all the way up to Highland Pines. Her thoughtfulness made the first day much easier for us. Haley had a great first day of first grade and came home smiling from ear to ear. We are very grateful for such a positive and welcoming start at Abia Judd!

If only there were more of these kinds of schools available in every town, now that would be awesome.

He would share with us about his Montessori activities and learnings and how he got to show the other students how to accomplish practical life activities and Montessori focus games like the pink tower, the beads, or the cubes. What a wonderful foundation to his creative mind! We appreciated the 5 to 1 teacher-student ratio in the classroom. The child led, hands on method promoted his independent thinking and fostered problem solving. The teachers and owner, who have tremendous experience in Montessori education, instructed our son when needed (specifically in reading and writing in preparation for attending first grade later this year) and allowed him to manage himself outside the tutorial and circle times. The school really cares about enriching the childhood experience through the Montessori method and is a great choice for a child's education. The Prescott area is very fortunate to have this safe, affordable institution available. We look forward to sending our daughter to Montessori Children's Academy when she is older. Thank you MCA!

When I read about birthing naturally for the first time I thought it would be great to have a…read morenatural birth without medication. I thought I would have a perfect birth. It wasn't so easy for us. My first birth without Kimme at maternally wise was a very different experience than my last birth. Why ? I was willing to go and walk the walk but my dr. And the nurses kept pressuring me about epidural saying I didn't have to be a Martyr. I had my mom and my Nina by my side but little did I know what was yet to come. I had my water broken unsuccessfully , Keats getting checked for dilation which hurts and is unnecessary ( as I came to learn) with a fetal heart monitor and tons of pitosin getting shot up into me and my baby. I was filled with doubt not allowed to walk or much less participate , I was told when to push not to trust my body and the end result , well sadly my baby couldn't latch after the birth , from the pitosin and the long hours of the last part or stage of labor . I didn't feel that immediate connection I was distraught literally torn to third degree and alone . I was not whole and so wasn't my newborn. The feeding went from bad to worse she developed colic and pain. I was in pain emotionally, spiritually and physically. Miraculously for my second child I was eight mo. Pregnant when it started. i began my search for something more than what society, doctors, and the tv say about birth. And after looking around for a few days. God put a birthing goddess in my life. i called maternally wise and knew after sharing my story with her we had a mission to accomplish together. Maternally wise is a fitting name . I saw wisdom , support, guidance, acceptance, comfort, love, peace , joy and all the power of the universe and God could provide to me when she came to in to our lives. I was in a lot of pain curled up like a ball when she walked through that door. Kimme guided me , soothed me, and helped me breathe and visualize myself into a higher place so naturally. It felt right. I gave birth with Kimme by my side because my bf was parking the carSoon or a few hours after that i was walking through the hospital isles in labor, smiling, accepting my destiny and that in itself is powerful. She informed me about my rights and stood as a support to me and my family at all times. I was able to make a more informed and not programmed decision about, shots, eye medicine and bath immediately after the wonderful birth of my son Samuel. I held him close as long and breastfeeding went smooth because little did I know Kimme is also a good breastfeeding source. I was in awe. I allowed myself to trust her and through her guidance trust my bodies innate ability to birth. Kimme at maternally wise has enlightened me with her sense of professionalism leadership and love for what she does. I will for the rest of my life and beyond be ever grateful to God for putting such an angel at my birth . My third and finalbirth, well words can't describe the emotion of having a " planned unassisted home birth". All thanks to the empowerment I felt from my second birth and from having a wonderful knowledgeable doula. I am so happy with my family and the birth definitely made an impact on me and my family. It was an e,powering experience. I cannot Thank kimme enough for all that she and other committed birthing professionals do .

I recently completed the two-day Basics & Fundamentals course with Larry and Dave. In a nutshell:…read moreit was excellent and absolutely worth it! I moved from CA to Prescott last month after seriously getting absorbed into shooting. As most people are aware, CA is not a great 2nd Amendment State so after much research I committed to Prescott with the goal of becoming a proficient shooter in as many platforms and styles of shooting as I can in two years - starting with pistols. I served in the US Marine Corps Reserves from 2001-07, with a deployment to Fallujah, Iraq, in 2005. During my Marine Corps days, I only got to meaningfully shoot the M16A2 (expert level) and the 50-cal machine gun (Humvee mounted). I never got any meaningful pistol time, and also, I was never personally into shooting as a Marine or since I got out until last year. Having moved to Prescott last month, I decided to go with Larry. Man, has it been a fantastic intro to pistols (and Prescott in general). During Day 1 (dry fire, fundamentals and class work), I learned A LOT. Larry was quickly able to assess I wasn't exactly a beginner but still rough and unpolished and so tailored the lesson to more advanced training. He's got an awesome dry-fire training set up with lasers, computerized cameras synced to targets, etc... It was incredibly fun and also humbling. In Day 2 - Live Fire - I had a blast starting with single, slow, accurate shooting to quickly advancing to rapid fire drills which were eye opening in terms of all of the tiny elements that need to be done right in order to be both accurate and fast. Things like proper grip, trigger pull, cadence, focus, stance, etc... Again, it was totally fun for me and humbling at the same time. But Larry and Dave, with their incredibly generous time and input into giving me tools and a direction to aim for - that is - with an eye towards competing so that I can improve as a shooter overall and with training methodologies, I have a clear direction to move towards. Anyways, this review is getting long so I'll stop. Bottom line: definitely train and learn from Larry and Dave.
