I love Leigh Street Luggage, I really do. I get warm fuzzies whenever I walk into the store.
One of the reasons is Julie, she owns the store. She was a flight attendant in the 70s, and now she has this beautiful store. She's really friendly and incredibly helpful, and will help you track down any piece of luggage available to her.
The goods here are also pretty slick, but as everyone's mentioned you probably won't snap up a bargain here. Take a look at the locally handmade leather backpacks, I think they might be sold uniquely through Leigh Street Luggage.
Price is probably the main issue, but I do think you pay for the great service and the stories. I tried buying a suitcase here once, but they were out of stock and I was too tight on time to wait for one to be ordered in. I ended up buying the same one from Myer at 50% off, but part of me still wishes I'd bought it from here.
If you're after a bargain you should probably give it a miss, but if you're after good customer service and a good experience pop in. read more
