Her ability to listen, provide insightful support, and knowledge of her trade has provided me with an arsenal of tools I can use to get through those tough moments even when she's not physically there to talk me through them! Not to mentioned, her get-after-it attitude is inspiring as she encourages you to face your struggles head on to overcome them. Each time I walk out of her office I'm inspired to continually work through my scars/deepest struggles to align myself with the ideals/intentions I have set for myself. I only saw her a couple months, and it's only occurred to me recently that what happened was extremely unprofessional. I was suffering from PTSD and also was in treatment for addiction, had around 6 months sober at that point in time. I got a call from Grace in the evening on night and she told me that she knew I had stolen a teddy bear out of her office. Shocked to say the least I told her I didn't take her teddy bear and she replied with, "Well it had to have been you because you were my last appointment and in your past you had stolen things before". After I repeatedly told her I didn't steal her teddy bear, she told me it was probably best we didn't see eachother. When I told my treatment center they were furious she would do that after I had told her about my past, trauma, ect. and even went through my things to double check (didn't find a teddy bear). Grace ended up calling me, apologizing, and telling me she would see me the next 2,3 times for free. I told her no. The whole thing was very strange and disheartening. I now have 4 years of sobriety.... no thanks to her at all

When I've gone, I've never had to wait for longer than 10 minutes to go to the back, which I appreciate. Dr. Cowan offers great resources for women who need hormone therapy or weight loss. I haven't had to use these services, but a co-worker of mine has and she was very happy with her results. Dr. Cowan is not an OBGYN; she's a GYN, which means she does not deliver babies. This is great for women who don't want their appointments interrupted because their doctor has to go deliver a baby. If you're looking for a good gynecologist in this area, I definitely recommend Dr. Cowan.

I have been a patient of this practice for years and it seems like in the past couple of years the…read moreexperience has been on the decline. Initially the frustration came from the long waiting times at appointments. If you are more than 15 minutes late you must reschedule but if you were on time, I have experienced wait times of over 45 minutes before even being called back and an additional 45 minutes to an hour in the waiting room. This has improved but now you must wait extremely long times for lab results, making me think the labs are not going out daily. I had blood drawn on Monday and didn't receive results until Friday for results that other offices provide same day or next day. I have blood that was drawn on Wednesday and Wednesday has come again and still no results, so if it is an urgent matter this would not be the practice to visit. I do enjoy the care I receive from the providers, they are easy to speak with and knowledgeable in their fields. It's just some categories where the practice is missing the mark.
