What a beautiful campus! Located in the West Bronx somewhat close to the botanic garden and very conveniently close to the subway, this campus has a lot of offer, large campus with great arts all around it. The buildings have a very princetonesque touch to them, very medieval/renaissance looking and very well mantained. It is really a beautiful campus to belong to, sadly the area is out of reach for me, but if I loved in the neighborhood I would definetly try to get in here just cause of the beautiful campus. They also have some cool summer events inspired in the arts. I absolutely fell in love with the campus. The nursing program is really tough to get in so make sure that if you want to try for that give them a call and come over to talk with someone in the department.

Lehman College is notorious for hosting Multicultural concerts. And The Bronx with Willie Colón, just go hand in hand. A compilation of his old-school Salsa songs dating back 30+ years, were brought on stage; and made for a perfect and lively blend during the Holiday Season. Lehman has a $5 parking lot on Goulden Avenue. But brace yourself- you have to jump through hoops as there's a trek to get to the Concert Hall. First floor's (rather small) entrance/lobby, is crowded and doubles as, "waiting-for-your-entire-party-to-arrive" with vendors selling 'artesanías' (crafts)- adding to the evening's chaos. Head one flight up: hand your ticket to the 'Ticket Clerk', she then hands it to the usher, who then escorts you to your seat. We sat at the Center Mezzanine and still had an excellent view of Willie Colón and his band. Nothing extravagant, but design inside (and the lack of), reminds me of a cement room. At this point though, acoustics, played more of a major part in providing a clear and smooth sound, than decor. Besides, Lehman's Performance Arts Center, is a great escape for international and musical presentations.

The history if this school is amazing i enjoy reading articles about schools that changed peoples lives. This College was founded in 1931, As the Bronx campus of Hunter College. The school became an independent college within CUNY in September 1967. The college is named after Herbert H. Lehman, A former New York governor, United States senator, and philanthropist. Lehman College offers a variety of selective and distinguished undergraduate and graduate programs in the Schools of Arts & Humanities, Education, Natural and Social Sciences, and Continuing Education. Lehman College is preparing to launch the School of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing in 2014. The College Now program allows selected high school students to take college courses.

I'd give it a solid 3.5 stars. I enjoyed my time there and the professors were very good. Some of the older buildings need major updates.

Went to the Media Center to be interviewed for a friend's class project. The facilities were quite impressive!

The downside is that, like all of CUNY, it is incredibly mismanaged and bogged down with bureaucracy.

During my time there, I was required to take a religious studies course taught by a professor who demonstrated a clear ideological bias. When I respectfully disagreed with her philosophical views, she responded by mocking me and ostracizing me in front of the class, using her authority as a professor to do so. After this behavior escalated, I disengaged from class participation. After I did this, the professor abruptly left the lecture. After she came back, she asked me to stay after class. During that conversation, I stated that I believed the situation warranted getting the dean involved. The dean told me that I should apologize to the professor regardless of whether I was right or wrong, which I did. The professor was not held to the same standard. A week later, I was given the opportunity to be transferred out of the course mid-semester. I found this unprofessional and disruptive, but I agreed to do so because the environment no longer felt safe or conducive to learning. The replacement course required me to complete all missed coursework independently, placing the burden of the situation entirely on me. This experience reflected a broader pattern I observed at the institution, a lack of concern for students well being and a tendency to treat students as obstacles to administrative efficiency rather than individuals. Based on my cumulative experiences, I would strongly caution prospective students to consider other options.

Disappointed in this religious institution and the students that live off campus. Reckless…read moreunderage drinking and noise annoyance to the neighbors. School and police refuse to help. With my final semester coming up for before I completed my Masters I was forced to take my last two classes at the Englewood Cliffs campus. Upon arriving to campus I was blown away by what it actually was. If you're a working adult who is continuing their education in the evening I'm sure you're looking for a school where everything is located on one floor. A place where if you need to see the advisor, dean, library, student lounge, and classroom are all within 5ft of each other. SPU is the place to go but only at the Englewood Cliffs campus. On one floor is all of these and much more. When I come to class a few minutes early I am able to heat up my dinner with the awesome microwave the student lounge provides, grab some snacks from the vending machine, or make a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine! Let's not forget about the most important part. The parking! This campus provides a parking lot that does not need a permit. The parking lot is not located across the campus but instead right outside the building where all of your classes are. I highly recommend attending the Englewood Cliffs campus if you are in any program. It is worth the drive and extremely convenient for the students.
