Freaking love this place. I've been here close to a half-dozen times and I'll absolutely keep coming back. I forgot to take photos this time (other than us hitting targets), but the setting alone is worth it. Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays is set in an old cement quarry from the late 1800s, and the rustic feel is totally unique. It really adds to the whole sporting clays experience. On our most recent visit, December 17, 2025, we had a group of three. We rented 20-gauges and bought ammo to run all 17 stations. We're not newbies, but we don't shoot clays all the time, so it took us about three hours. Since it was during the week before Christmas, it wasn't very busy, which gave us time to get back into the rhythm. I've been closer to Christmas and around Thanksgiving before, and it can definitely get busy then. I called ahead to make a reservation, which I recommend. First-timers need to fill out waivers, and if you're renting a shotgun you'll complete a green waiver when you arrive. If anyone in your group has never handled a shotgun before, they also offer group lessons to get everyone up to speed. I'll definitely be back--no question. read more

ANTI VETERAN AND ANTI FEMALE BUSINESS This is not a one time issue. We had been patrons here since 2018 but that ended today. Lori you are the current manager and need to be held accountable for your employees. I was harassed by an employee during a visit on August 15, 2021. I did not make a formal complaint during that visit because I was uncomfortable and intimidated. My husband is a veteran and we are avid gun owners and enjoy sporting clays so we took our business elsewhere. Flash forward to September 4, 2023, my family as well as a few groups of friends decided we'd like to make a date of sporting clays and only LVSC is open so we think, maybe he is no longer employed. Maybe this time will be different. That was not the case at all and a formal complaint was made to Lori. I know you remember that day and couldn't be more emphatic and assured me the issue would be addressed. My husband decided to meet a fellow veteran and family today. I did not attend because I am still uncomfortable with being sexually harassed by an establishments employee. This employee saw my husband arrive today and kept his distance however my now my family and their guests became the new targets. A member of our party was told he could not fire three shells when he showed the safety ranger he was using an over under and that is not possible he was given an attitude. The party was told they may not pass other parties, so they returned to the prior station to wait only for the group in front of them to then go the station behind where they were waiting. Nothing further was said to anyone in the party until they went back to pay. Lori, can you please explain how two members of a five person party who had made a previous reservation using a name that you indicated has been flagged were allowed to not only make a reservation for this week but also a large party reservation for next weekend ( now going elsewhere ) and you allowed them to go out today and did not say anything to until check out? Accusations of unsafe gun handling are very serious especially when being made about two Veterans. I love this place! What a great place to have an event or outing. I have been hearing great things about this place for a few years and have actually had the opportunity to try it a few times but passed, what was I thinking? I was with a party of 50 people and it was so much fun. We did 8 stations and 50 shots with a golf cart. I hadn't shot a gun for many years but it's like riding a bike , once you learn it's easy. It is such a great facility and they have a nice room that could probably hold a party of 80. I think this will be a growing business as more companies and organizations have events and outings here. Like every real man, I enjoy shooting firearms. This place in particular only allows shotguns at moving clays. I came with a buddy and his 2 buddies who come to this range often. Bring ear and eye protection. If you wear glasses you should get a pair of glasses with side shields or safety glasses that goes over your fancies. At the range I saw the 'pros' wear vests with pouches for their shotgun shells. They would look ridiculous if they we're at a club with table service but at the range they thought they were tough dookie. I brought a draw string bag, not ideal for 4 boxes of shells. They are heavy. A book bag would have been better. I also brought a large bottle with me. It was a hot day. They cooler of free water tastes like free water. The 4 boxes (100 shells), time to use the range and 1 shotgun rental was ~$70. I shared a shotgun with one of the buddies. The other 2 brought their own. It's ok to share. Only 1 person can shoot at a station at a time. If you rent the shotgun you have to buy ammo from them. They offer golf carts and shotgun strollers for additional rent but if you're a real strong human being you carry everything. The beginner's (green) station has 16 'holes'. All with different launching angles and speed. And I heard they change them often so it makes it interesting every visit. Just like Disney Land :) The clubhouse has a nice pro shop to buy accessories, shotgun, and those sexy pouchy vests. Clean bathroom is also inside the bathroom. Coffee is complementary (tip jar) and hot dogs for $1.25. I was surrounded by Trump supporters with shotguns and I would be more afraid to eat hot dog from here. This range is well maintained, it's outside, open all year round, it's well supervised but the rangers are not dicks. Cigar smoking is acceptable and gets you cool points. Spitting after every puff like me will take away those points. I would definitely drive the 1.5hr to come here. There's no place like this in Jersey. After shooting here I had the same awe I had after going to my first strip club. I hope the second trip is better. It usually goes down hill :( read more

Great courses and presentations, lousey POS system, rules and staff. We shot a round of 100 and wanted to do a second. They required our entire party to check out and settle up the first round, then check in again for the second round. Their "new" system is aweful and this check out, check in BS took more than an hour. Guess what, we didnt have enough time to finish our second round because of the wasted hour in the clubhouse. At 445, the staff rudely herded us off the course. Nothing worse than being rushed and leaving the round incomplete. Then we got to go back inside and check out for a second time. Whether you've never fired a shotgun or are an expert, LVSC seems to have something for you. The price was reasonable! We rented our shotgun and shared it among the three of us. Although we had some experience, we opted for the beginner course. We didn't know what to expect, having been our first time here. So, our first impression was that we'd only be shooting our clays over grassy hills along tree lined backdrops. Soon, however, we were impressed that as you take your golf card down the high road and around the course, you encounter all sorts of obstacles. First, we came upon a large pond. I had the most fun shooting here. The clays flew over water, wooded lands, brush, along grassy plains, over clear fields, thick terrain, parallel to the ground or hovering way off in the sky's distance. Some clays required 'no-think,' fast, short-action! Other clays had hang time and were slow moving, allowing you to bead and time your target to shot. As a group, the "rabbit" clays were the most surprising for us. We thought all of our clays would be flung into the sky. Nope! LVSC has ground traps, whereby the clays rolled fast, thumping along mole hills, bouncing across you, in no time, to a bail of hay. Mind you, we were on the beginner course, so can you imagine what they probably offer for the advanced and expert shooters? Anyway, we did this purely for fun. That said, if you're looking for professional target shooting, you can't go wrong! One of our better party members did a shotgun course in Colorado, and he said LVSC was far superior, hands down! Lastly, to any beginners out there, the course felt safe the entire time. Staff was strict with safety rules, as they should be, but very friendly, professional, eager to help, and politely watchful, ensuring the safety of everyone. They gave every group their own space. Had been shooting for years but never clays. Went with my girlfriend yesterday and they were the friendliest staff of any place I have ever shot! They walked me through standard practices and got my girlfriend, essentially a first time shooter, breaking clays and feeling comfortable. All skeet skeet mother f***er! Just shot a 56 at LVSC, which, since they don't provide that info, I'll call par; all I know is it sounds better than saying I shot 56% (we got 100 shots each), since my scholastic career has taught me that is a failure. All the same, it's a pretty cool setup here as it's sort of like a round of golf, only with shotguns instead of clubs. A group of 7 lads and myself showed up this past Saturday to kick start my friend's Bachelor party weekend, and though none of us are even remotely experienced with firearms, we still had a smashing time. They start you out with a questionnaire wherein you assure them you aren't on drugs, are not on the run from the law, and are allowed to actually use guns and what not, then an employee came out and gave us a quick run down on the shotguns we'd be using. As I mentioned, we are amateurs of the most amateur variety, so we had to rent guns in order to shoot. Past experience has conditioned me to expect the shittiest equipment possible for rent, but LVSC clearly isn't aware of that practice because they gave us $3,000 Beretta 20-gauge shotguns, complete with fancy engravings down their length. We walked the course with two hand carts (think jogging stroller with shotgun compartments, how those things should come anyway...) instead of two four seat motorized rides, because some of the stations were about 20 feet apart from each other, and driving that seemed truly lazy (obviously my vote to cruise was overruled). Also, walking saved us money; each golf cart would be $20, but the hand cart was included in the rate, or at most $8 each. Eye protection is mandatory on the course, but they don't care what kind you wear as long as it's on, and they give you earplugs for free. The course is circular, following a paved path through an old quarry, but with two target options at each spot (blue or orange). Shooting stations are simple huts that you plug a hand held controller/pigeon counter into and shoot sets of 6 or 8 clay pigeons; at times one after the other, other times two at once. The backdrops for the 'holes' vary from open air to thick brush, to crumbling concrete structures, and my personal favorite, to shots over the flooded quarry (missing there wasn't as disheartening because you still hit the water), and at every station you are allowed a test shot from each launcher so you can tell where you need to aim (there are also picture diagrams of the flight path). Overall the experience cost $41 for the course and pigeons, with extra disc going at $.39 a pop, and the gun rental was $12 which was split between us (played two foursomes with one shotgun each). I don't know the price of the ammunition, but I imagine it was near $20. It took about 3 hours for the 8 of us to finish, and we were definitely beaten up enough from the kick by that point that we were ready to be done, so 100 shots is just about perfect. My first time there was in May of this year. I absolutely fell in love with this place. It's worth the 1 1/2 hour drive from my house. I have since gone back five times and love it each and every time more than the prior visit. The staff are friendly and knowledge. The place is CLEAN and safe. One thing happens today that compounded my appreciation of LVSC I joined as a member today prior to going shooting. As we were going to leave, I remembered I left my portable charger and cable to my cell phone in one of the golf carts A MONTH AGO. On a whim I asked if someone found it. Lo and behold, a full month later, the young lady at the counter said she remembered it being found by a staff member, went to the back and brought it out to me. That speaks volumes to the caliber of staff at LVSC. Anyone could just as easily taken it home. That level of honesty and customer service is hard to obtain. In my excitement I forgot to contribute to the tip jar but I will do it on Friday when I make the trek back up there. read more

Really nice course, but took almost 3 hours to do 12 holes. Got started on hole 12 where it was backed up. Then coming around to the first hole it was backed up again. Then had what seemed like regulars jump in front of us saying that they'll move through quickly. We spoke to the Range safety officer and he didn't care. I'm from the area but now live 1.5 hours away which makes it too much of a time commitment. It's a great facility but they need to manage the flow better. read more

It really is that good. The course itself is beautiful. They really have a lovely location, and the stands are set up very nicely. The variety of shots is terrific and does not get boring. Walking the course is nice and everything is very well kept and clean. The staff is perfect; friendly, relaxed and safety conscious. This place is very open-arms and not an "old boys" club. They really want make sure everyone has a safe and fun time. Do yourself a favor and look up some sport-shooting etiquette on the internet before you show up if it is your first time; do not be intimidated and feel free to ask these very nice people. The value is great. For 100 clays at their stands, the $37 I paid felt like a bargain. Their rental shotgun cost is low if you do not bring your own shotgun and their ammo prices are fair. I said fair because I do not feel like I am being taken advantage of, but you can get cheaper ammo if you shop around. We had an incredible time there. Very clean, very well organized, challenging trap shooting, and an overall great experience. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to complete 16 stations with five guys. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for a golf cart because when we got there none were left and we had to use a handcart. There are stations were you shoot across the water as the birds fly both towards you and away from you, stations were the clays come out of windows from abandon buildings, open field stations as well as simulated rabbits. Being from New Jersey we have decided to definitely make it an annual event. read more

As a member at LVSC over the past half dozen years, I agree with all of the positive comments by others regarding the quality of the 3 sporting clay courses at LVSC. Other than Hudson Farm in Andover, NJ and Orvis' Sandanona on Millbrook, NY, IMHO, this is one of the top sporting clay courses in the northeast, surpassing NJ's Cedar Creek and M&M. I will echo others in suggesting that you bring your own shotgun and ammo, if possible, to save time. Ideally, if possible, the best time to arrive is at 9:00 am on a weekday to avoid waiting too long to get on the course, since weekends are usually the most busy. Finally, news flash: not all sporting clay and firearms owners/enthusiasts were, let alone still are Trump supporters. Almost a year after the 2020 presidential election, and the Jan. 6th capitol insurrection, it really is time to take down the large Trump/Pence signs plastered all over LVSC entrance and building exterior. Obviously, the owner of LVSC's was and is a Trump supporter, which is certainly his right. But Trump lost.... Time to move on and not be so obnoxiously defiant of reality and persistently politicizing this wonderful sport. read more

We had a great time here. I have a few hand guns, but had never really fired a shotgun before. It was a bit of an adjustment, but the way this place worked really helped. I had imagined just standing in a field and shooting at clay, but this was totally different. You went to different stations and fired at the clay coming from different angles and in different environments. It's and old quarry so there is water, buildings and woods. It was a bit of a drive, but we were out there for about 3 hours making a fantastic day out of it. It also wasn't too expensive. We rented a shotgun, got the shells and the range fee was less than $100 each. read more

I was skeptical about coming here since it's a TWO hour drive for me, but it was my husband's birthday and he loves clay shooting. Despite the drive, we were able to find the place with ease and we couldn't wait to get started. The parking lot is a bit small and from what I heard, if cars are parked on the grass, it means they're busy. For those who've never been here before, this is sort of like a golfing range for sporting clays. There's 14 stations for throughout the location and you drive around the grounds on a golf cart (additional charges required for golf cart rental). Let me break down my experience for you. STAFF: Friendly and welcoming. At first the girls at the register seemed sort of bored, but they warmed up to us after my mother-in-law made some jokes. A lot of the instructors who drive around the course were extremely friendly and helpful if we had any questions about the gun rentals or anything about the grounds itself. THE GROUNDS: HUGE. That's all I gotta say. When you're done checking in (you pay at the end), you obviously start at station 1. The scoring sheet tells you how many times each person shoots per station (6 rounds, 8 rounds). I'm sure I'm not using the terminology correctly, but you get my drift right? Anyway, you're given a map of the location with stations that are labeled as Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Being that I went on a Saturday morning around 11am and it was rainy day out, we didn't wait at all at any stations. We didn't feel the need to rush through shooting and we had no problems waiting for groups in front of us. The ground itself were perfectly maintained and instructions were given very clearly. A card is given to you that allows you to activate the control for the clays to come out. DO NOT LOSE OR FORGET TO TAKE THIS CARD OUT OF THE MACHINE ONCE YOU'RE DONE AT THE STATION!!!!!! My group forgot about this card multiple times and had to drive back to the station previously to get it back. We ended up forgetting the card when we returned everything, but luckily, there are instructors driving around checking for these things since they get noobs like us going. FINAL THOUGHTS: I definitely had a lot of fun here and this place is WELL worth the two hour drive. We bought our own shotgun/shells but since we had others with us, we rented their shotgun (Berettas, if you need to know what kind they provide). If you're new to coming here like we were and have never shot before, I suggest you request an instructor to show you how to shoot and handle the gun. This place provides a lot of freedom for you to drive around using shotguns so please be respectful when you're handling the firearm. Safety is the first thing to keep in mind and keeping your breach opened at all times is a MUST. We did let this slip once and the instructors just told us to keep it opened. Again, the people working here are very nice and welcoming so if there's any issues or concerns, they're more than willing to help. I will definitely come back and I do suggest those who have experience with guns try this as well since it's different than your typical shooting range. The course is an abandoned quarry so you'll get to shoot over water, around old buildings, and more. About 17 trap stations (with both A and B positions) and 5 stand. Youth and disabled shooters are welcome. If you're not currently a shooter, you'll be surprised how friendly the shooting community is to new shooters, just show up and ask for help. I've been here with the boyfriend twice. I am far from an expert when it comes to ranges and this is only the second range I have been to. But I do really like this place. The employees are friendly and more than happy to answer questions or stop by if you are on the course and look to be having trouble (which is every 5 minutes for me). The membership is worth it if you think you will visit more than once or twice in a year, especially if you are or were in the military. They also really care about safety. They don't let you walk into the clubhouse with the gun. They are quick about signing you up and getting you processed while still making sure to explain all the safety stuff. They hold onto your license while you rent the gun. You meet a gun expert outside after the initial paperwork (which is painless) and then the gun expert shows you how to use the gun and equipment and answers any questions. They also offer lessons which I recommend if you never shot a riffle before and aren't with someone who is proficient at it. Shooting a riffle is much more challenging than it looks. I think I give up on shooting a riffle but still really enjoy coming here since the grounds are nice and I get to drive the golf cart and press the button that releases the clays for my bf to shoot. Some of the stations are next to the lake and you are literally shooting clays above the lake which is really cool if only I could get one. And there are two courses- an easy course and a more challenging course. You will find shooters of all different skill level. They also have plenty of employees patrolling the area in golf carts to ensure the safety of the customers and answer any questions. I was really struggling when a nice employee stopped by to offer some advice. Don't forget to wear your sunglasses or safety glasses even if you aren't shooting. Apparently, I am a slow learner and got scolded twice for putting my sunglasses on top of my head- damn they are quick and sneaky in those golf carts. And don't swim in the lakes especially not wearing anything orange because you will likely get shot. read more

Environment: This place is partial sun, hilly, with lots of stations, color coded for levels. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Lots of women, lots of older children (looked to be about 10 and up). As we were shooting at one of the stations, a deer came walking across the path. Instructions: Our instructor's name was Billy. He was kind and patient. He made he experience above and beyond amazing. He treated my special needs companion with dignity, patience and respect, without me having to explain anything. This place was fabulous! We arrived at 2:30...LATE! argh! these guys were phenomenal! They got us all together, loaded up with ammo and two instructors. Off we went around the quarry. They lent us one over/under and let us use our two semi-autos. I can't express the amount of fun we had. Our instructor was Len (or was it Clem)...doesn't matter, both get rave reviews. The course is around a quarry with clays thrown by automatic machines, several at each station. There must be 15 or more stations set up. We went through about ten stations in two hours. We all ended up pretty good shots! hitting more than missing. The price was $70 per person, but included ammo, loaners, golf carts, and two instructors. The only down side, not even a half a star, was at the very end of our tour we got hollered at for having a closed chamber on a semi-auto. The gun was not used in out venture at all. Never even got loaded. Our instructor never said anything. There was a snap-cap protecting the firing pin, which I guess he thought looked like a round in the chamber. We open it up, he owed us an apology. Never got it. Ah well, the rest of the day made this point moot. read more

I've been here two times now so I felt confident I could write a solid review. Place is great, clean and the OUTDOOR staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There are 17 stations, each varied and offering level of beginner, intermediate and expert. I have been there on a weekday and a weekend, they do a great job of spacing out the shooters so you don't spend a lot of time waiting at each station. The reason I can't give a five star review is the inside desk employees. This past Sunday was the worst but all four of my trips have encountered rude condescending help at the check in/check out desk. Please check the two working on Sunday, July 29th between noon and 3. If that is who is representing you, you need to rethink. Your staff is overwhelmingly helpful and your indoor staff tanks that reputation immediately. They stand out like sore thumbs from your other staff. On our first visit, two at the front desk gave another in my team enough of an attitude that he mentioned it once we were on the course. The two different front desk employees I encountered Sunday were angry at every question I asked before we shot, sighed in disgust when I dared ask a question about our $235 charge after our shoot, but that wasn't all. I indicated I had been there before and was asked if I felt comfortable instructing the rest of my team, who had not been there. I answered, "no". This seemed to really upset the woman asking the question. This is a safety instructional, and they acted angry and annoyed that I wanted someone other than me to instruct my team? Get rid of the women at your desk or at the very least retrain them. Once you get past the angry front desk staff, you'll be treated to great staff on the course and an absolute blast! read more

Amazing place to start shooting your rifle at clay plates!!! It was my first time and I had such a memorable time! I had tons of fun being around nature and the challenge to shatter the clay plates! Great place to spend a few hours on the traps. LVSC is a clean friendly environment, and they maintain a good inventory of rental shotguns. Advice to newbies, go with a 20 gauge instead of the 12 gauge, your arms will thank you for it. read more

As someone who hasnt really shot guns I was initially intimated by the prospect of coming here. After our beginners tutorial I felt much more comfortable. The staff was really accommodating, funny and informative. I would encourage any beginner to come here. I will say though that it was a little disconcerting how little we were supervised when he initially set out but it turns out that there was frequently (if not always) a staff member nearby. The range was amazing. There were so many types of shooting situations to choose from and the course was large enough that you didn't feel rushed at any station. The grounds were well maintained , beautiful, and easy to navigate (even a huge lake that served as a back drop to some of the stations). If you are with a group of friends and looking for a fun place to spend the afternoon this is for you, I will definitely be back! read more
