I was in such pain that I couldn't stand it and called my primary doctor for help. The man that came in and announced I was kicked out of the program, was let's say on the rude side and wouldn't even let me speak. I forgot that in the paperwork I signed 8 years ago, I am not allowed to seek help from anyone else. Dumb mistake on my part. Now with my chronic pain getting worse, it was a hard lesson learned. I suffer every day. Dr. Khan is a great doctor. But some what unfair. Trying to get an appointment 2 days earlier was impossible, I got hung up on. Would I recommend this doctor?? Maybe, maybe not. The increased risk of the pain along with my heart condition is not good for me at all.

I was met at the door and was told to wait in line because the lobby was full. The line quickly became quite lengthy with no where for a person with back pain to sit. I explained to the young office attendant that my mother couldn't remain standing. The wheel chair parked inside the front door was not offered. Even my VET office has a phone check in procedure so you can wait comfortably in your car. So if you want to wait in a long line with no where to sit while in pain, then this is the pain management doctor for you. No common sense found her!

Additionally, his entire team,(from checking in to checking out), is just world class as well. If you need a doctor to help you with your pain, I would highly recommend Dr. Jassal and his team!

Was trying to get my Pump moved from my back to the front. Waited for over three months to get a neurosurgeon to do it. Never called me back. Second visit to Dr JASSAL he scheduled it two weeks later. He is well educated and knowledgeable about pain. I highly recommend this doctor for pain management. Look no further and make an appointment to see him. I have another three decreases to go. Hope to get out of this dark tunnel and see the light. Haven't been able to do anything because of the pain. He's been great so far and no problem getting in to see him weekly. I would rate him 5 stars ***** . The receptionist and staff are very cordial, sympathetic, and friendly.

If I could rate zero stars I would. I should start with the…read morefact that I have only left reviews for places that I absolutely adore- look at my profile and see I have never once complained about a clinic before. I wish I could say I was being dramatic- as this "fine office" made sure I felt "dramatic" before finally leaving after a two hour appointment. I have given them chance after chance- hoping and praying something would finally help. Firstly, I have driven my aunt to excel pain and spine for years and she has seen excellent care from Dr. Patel. He is kind, has a well developed listening ear, advocates for his patients, and is all around an excellent dr and man. He goes as far as to call my aunt "Aunt F****" and always greets her with a warm smile and a hug. I brag on him so much to distinguish him from this place and highlight how he is separate from this. I was told I had to see a PA my first visit and could follow up with him later. The first Pa I saw was kind, compassionate and explained everything thoroughly. I did leave crying only because I would be waiting two weeks for injections and two weeks after that for my f/u after already dealing with this pain for months. Also my kidney levels are off ( my creatinine is high) because of how many NSAIDs and tylenols I've been taking to try and cope. I did mention that the ER doc I saw was extremely compassionate as she had dealt with the exact same thing and had to have surgery for it. She even mentioned that nobody truly understood what it was like until they experienced it and that she understood that there was a struggle and stigma around this type Of pain. She advocated for me heavily and prescribe pain medication to help me so far. It was the only thing that could help me get out of bed only because it gave me just enough relief for me to do my dishes without tears, run to the store (with someone to carry things), go to physical therapy or my doctors appointments without too much assistance. She let me know I would be eligible for those (very much only a possibility and only if the injections didn't work). I said absolutely i don't want to need them I just don't know how to make it to that apt without being able to take NSAIDs or anything. She prescribed the meloxicam for emergencies, but unfortunately it isn't worth it often to take. I understand my youth and that I'm too young to be facing this but I am and my symptoms are real. The last thing I would like to do at my age is sit hours in drs offices, or on phones with them. I want to be at my job that I love, going out with friends on the weekends, or just to get out of bed without tears in my eyes. Instead, I'm having to ask for help for the simplest of tasks, sleep my life away, face criticism and accusations most appointments, and constantly fight for myself and my health every day. The wait for the injections was unbearable. I called a week after the apt and begged for new meds or something to help. The said it would be no problem to up my pregabalin and to change my muscle relaxer. The walgreens it was sent to would not take my insurance so I had to call and request it to be sent to a new one on a Friday. Never received them. Finally the injection appointment I had so desperately looked forward to came, they were extremely painful but went smoothly. The dr even stated that while I took them well, he could see and feel how much pain I was in. He told me I was strong and did great and to ice it. I mentioned the meds to him when leaving, he said no problem he'd fix it. A few days goes by and I never get my meds. I say to heck with it I'm already suffering I can't keep begging them, it takes too long to get an answer anyways. Plus when you're throwing up from getting out of bed too fast, you don't have too much energy to wait on hold for an hour. So I keep going, trying to stay positive. I'm waiting each day, praying, begging God to let them work. Each day I was disappointed. I finally see my pcp who finds that the meds were sent to Walgreens but never sent to Publix. I say don't worry I'll call Walgreens then. Walgreens states they have nothing in their system. I have to call my pcp's emergency line to have them filled and as the angel she is, she fills them. Dr. Templin, You…read morecalled me when I had just about given up. My pain was excruciating. I had several issues with my cervical spine, which had begun (almost) surgery, until I flatlined. That was the first part of Sept. I told the doctor I had also lost my daughter after that failed surgery. My only child. I had been completely stressed out and my pain just kept getting worse. Doctor, you told me to write down the name of a book and the authors name, and I did. Back In Control by David Branscome. I was able to get it free on audible and started listening that very day. I couldn't tear myself away. When he spoke of the couple who were tested for their responses to a couple of questions, when the woman spoke of her pain, the sensors noted anger in the husband, which made the wife feel more pain because she knew he didn't believe her or acknowledge her pain. It was a vicious cycle. That was me and my husband! I kept listening! Everyone was simply tired of hearing me complain. No one wanted to listen to it, see it, be any part of it. I became angry. At first. This made me stop and think...ok, it's me. It's not anyone but me. Dr. Templin, I want to thank you, and I wish I could fly to where you are and thank you personally, but truly, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish you were still here. I think you saved my life. Namaste, Illana Betz

I know this was just my first treatment but he made me feel much more hopeful for the possibility of my shoulder finally being able to be healed. So glad to have met Steve, now I have to find someone like him for in CA.
