I spent $1300 for a contract with Amanda that specified the number of sessions as well as the…read moretraining and support that I would receive. This was supposed to last for 8 weeks. The program began well with Amanda telling me that she gets to know her client so that she can help them make logical decisions about food and lifestyle changes. She explained that she wanted to be able to assist with changes that accommodated a person's preferences for food and exercise to ensure the changes are lasting. Although I asked multiple times for some kind of written outline that explained the program, she never supplied that information. We started with a visit to my home and them a visit to a grocery store. There were a few cooking sessions where she came to my house to fix some meals. I was repeatedly promised that she would teach me to make sauces and spices that met the requirements of the program, but that never happened. I was told to buy a specific set of dishes for cooking, and after spending the money, they were never used. As the weeks passed, I received less and less input from Amanda. She seems to feel that her job is to simply answer questions in a text message. I explained to her more than once that I didn't know what questions to ask, that I hired her to teach me the things that I didn't know. The program began with completely cutting carbs and sugar from my diet. Amanda stated that after 3-4 weeks that she would them show me how to reintroduce certain foods into my diet, however she never followed through. The program was supposed to include support for physical training. Amanda stated that she would make visits to the gym with me to help me determine an appropriate workout. After bringing this issue up several times, she told me that I needed to find someone else to serve as a physical trainer. I reminded her that it was stated in the contract. She then relented, making one visit to the gym with me. At this point Amanda wanted me to get some blood work done to determine the progress that had been made and the next steps that should be taken. Once I completed this task, I sent the results to Amanda. I received no reply for a couple of weeks, so I sent them again. This time she acknowledged receiving the results but her only reply was that things look good and that I should keep in touch.
