Having done the self help route before, I thought getting a paralegal to help with my paperwork would really help save time and stress. Anna was very easy to talk to but the response time after I paid the initial $650 was horrible. It took a week to get further instruction, another week and a half to get my paperwork typed up. I kept asking when I should come in to sign. After my court date ended up being over 3 months out, I asked Anna to file for emergency hearing - which was another $300+ . She advised me not to submit additional paperwork (evidence - texts, emails, etc.) as I could do that later. Now I just had to have my ex served again, to add that evidence that should have been filed the first time. I will do the self-help route from now on. I set up an appointment over the phone but never heard from them. I didn't think much of it because it wasn't an emergency and I thought to myself I would just follow up later. I was busy working so a few weeks go by and I call back to let them know I never heard from them when I scheduled my appointment but I would like to move forward with my legal filing.
