Even now, they are still patient with me which is great because it allows me to break through my own social and physical barriers with no sense of pressure or direct/ indirect constant criticism. My experience at Ultra Jiu Jitsu Academy has changed my life for the better. Professor Dixon, Professor Pedro and Professor Skye are elite instructors. The coaches are approachable and love to teach as well. They all love what they do and it shows. Aside from the great coaches and professors, the training partners who attend are some of the most down to earth and nicest people I've come around. The environment is what you make it to be but competition and safety are always included. I personally use my training sessions as therapy and leave the stress of normal day living at the front door. I'm sure there's plenty of other places that people swear is the best but I know for sure I found my second home and I can't wait for my son to start as well. Hope this helps.

The schools we attended before were all about "follow what I do, then do it". No real training. Just copy me. Then those teachers wonder why a kid may not be paying attention in class. Master Patrick and his other trainers are not like that at all. They truly want the students to learn, really learn. Such a refreshing approach. Btw, this school teaches Star Wars light saber classes for both kids and adults !

I took a trial class at Flow, and it was such a great experience. (To put it into context, I…read moretrained in martial arts for nearly a decade and am very particular as I've trained in a number of places across the U.S. and even a couple of dojos overseas.) The instructors and their instruction were both top-notch. They broke things down, explained proper technique (including the "why" and "how" of it as well as counter-moves), and provided helpful corrections as well as encouragement throughout the class. I went alone, and the entire staff and the other students were all extremely kind and welcoming. Very friendly and supportive environment. I could tell that everyone genuinely enjoyed being there. There were no egos, cliques, or other unhealthy behaviors I've seen elsewhere. The dojo itself was spotless (very clean and no feet smell!). The facilities all look brand-new/excellent condition, and it was nice and cool inside despite the sweltering heat outside. At the end of the class, the owner and lead instructor promptly cleaned and sanitized the mats so it was ready for the next class. Overall, Flow Jiu Jitsu Club provides excellent instruction in a clean, friendly, and supportive environment. I had a very positive experience and plan to sign up once my schedule gets a little less hectic.

I've trained with Coach Dreadie privately & have also sat in on some of his group classes. One…read morething I really appreciate is how well he adjusts his coaching to different experience levels. He can make things approachable for someone completely new without watering down the technical side for someone more experienced. He's patient, detail-oriented & really good at explaining the why behind what you're doing, not just telling you what to do. He'll sometimes record parts of a session too, then go back over the footage so you can actually see what's working and what needs adjusting. I've found that very helpful for noticing progress that you don't always recognize yourself. His classes feel focused without being intimidating. I always leave feeling like I actually learned something-- not just that I got a good workout in. There's obviously a physical benefit to training, but I've found just as much value in the discipline, confidence & mental side of it. Definitely worth the investment for me.

With 19 years in the art and training under top coaches in Thailand and SoCal, he brings authentic technique and a structured approach. What really sets the gym apart is John's genuine love for Muay Thai. He's patient and encouraging, and he's clearly invested in every student's growth, whether you're there for fitness, self-defense, or just to clear your head. If you want real technique from someone who truly lives the art, this is the place. Highly recommend.

The only reason we're even leaving the class is because we're moving further than I can drive every weekend.
