Mom's is…read moreprofessional, welcoming, clean without feeling clinical, and has created a space where everyone is treated with respect. Their commitment to being an LGBTQ+ affirming, inclusive space is obvious from the moment you walk in. That's exactly the kind of local business I want to support. Thanks to Watson (@lildocwatson) and the rest of the shop for making my first tattoo experience such a positive one. He has a rare ability to balance listening with artistic guidance. He asked thoughtful questions, built on my ideas with his expertise, and helped turn them into something even better than I'd imagined. He was also incredibly patient with all of my first-tattoo questions and anxiety. As people have noticed my fresh ink and asked about it, every time I mention Mom's, the response is something like, "I've heard such great things about them," or "That's where I get all my work done." After my experience, I completely understand why. I'll absolutely be back. Thanks for being awesome.

We went back without reservations within 10 minutes. We got Kim! I can't imagine a better person to do it. She's a total pro and is opinionated when you want her to be. We had some uncertainties about placement and she knew exactly what to do. It doesn't hurt as much as you think! I would say the pain lasts for like five seconds just while it's happening and it's more like pressure than sharp pain. It was over before we knew it and then you don't really feel it after. The whole experience felt very customized and attentive, but it also went at a great pace. If I were coming back, I would make sure that we called ahead and knew that Kim would be there. She is a gem. We went because my daughter's friend had just had her ear cartilage pierced by Kim and highly recommended it. I hope they treat her very well!

So I asked a bunch of places and this was recommended to me by a friend. She actually recommended Susan and it turns out she had the day off but some freedom to do a late night tattoo! We picked 9pm and she did an incredible job. Not only is this where we got underage belly piercings in high school but now this spot is a state of the art clean and sanitary shop that I cannot wait to come back to. Susan's room is the room we used to get our piercings in, talk about nostalgia! We got matching monstera tattoos on our feet and again Susan did an amazing job. Her artistic skills are incredible. Her bedside manner and her hilarious stories were amazing too. The tattoo was not at all too painful and the work turned out beautifully. I am so thankful for how accommodating this situation was! Thank you so much Susan for adding more ink art to my body!

This past December I went in to get a new ring for my daith piercing. But, about three weeks later,…read moreI noticed some of the gems in the ring fell out. I called them to ask if it would be possible to get a replacement. They said sure, once they got the old ring back. So, once they got it back and sent me a replacement, I had that put in, but they sent me the wrong size in the new ring. So I had to then send that ring back to exchange it for the correct size. And, after two weeks of wearing the new (correctly sized ring) the gems fell out of that ring too. After this time they made it pretty clear that they were done exchanging the ring for me and this piece of jewelry was "just going to do that." Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate their willingness to refund me in the first place, but considering that none of these exchanges were caused by me/my fault and they are the ones carrying poor-quality jewelry I do not think they were in a position to respond how they did. I would not recommend buying jewelry from them. It's not worth the money.

Following a recent experience with Jade I feel it necessary to provide feedback on the service I…read morereceived. After contemplating a second nose piercing for several months, I decided to proceed while accompanying my daughter to her appointment to get her bellybutton re-pierced for the third time because it was pierced crooked and incorrectly twice. Unfortunately, the piercer used an incorrect technique, bending the corkscrew nose piercing with pliers before insertion, which resulted in significant bleeding and discomfort. The piercer hit a vein during the piercing as well, causing more damage, shoving the bent piercing jewelry in, and furthermorethe piercing was not placed correctly, causing blood to splash onto my face and pool in my neck while my daughter tried to clean me up. I am not exaggerating when I say that was a lot of blood ..A subsequent consultation with a more professional piercer led to the recommendation that I remove the piercing immediately. Not only did the experience fall short of expectations, but it also triggered and exacerbated my PTSD symptoms. The piercing itself was also asymmetrical and poorly positioned. I advise potential clients to approach with caution and consider other options. While I appreciate the refund I received, I am disappointed in the response from the practitioner, who suggested I was lying about the bleeding and implied I was handling the piercing improperly. The denial of responsibility and false accusations are concerning and highlight the need for more experience.

I looked online for a place to go in Spokane for earrings, I just moved here and needed a starting place. I always buy my earrings at tattoo shops because I like high quality and the style available. I told him and said it didn't look like they carried what I was looking for. He looked at me and said that tattoo and piercing shops don't carry what I want, "I should go to Clair's". I went to another tattoo shop and bought a pair of earrings for about $200. Good job tattoo guy on being a judgmental ass.
