Normally a patient at their Airdrie location, but went here for a treatment because it was close to…read moremy parents house. Same great experience and knowledgeable therapists. Everyone from the front end staff to the therapists are great. You don't feel like just a number. My therapist worked hard and cared about getting me back to running.

This is one of the worst clinical experiences I have ever had. I went for an initial appointment…read morefor tennis elbow and was seen by the physiotherapist Eyal Okin. Right off the bat I was told stretching or exercises would not help and he wanted to spend the appointment doing dry needling. I was not completely opposed to this but wanted some time to think about it and asked if we could do something else this session. He then left me hooked up to a TENS machine for the majority of the appointment and walked back in several times to provide me with papers on dry needling that he had Googled and printed off (when I asked about the evidence behind dry needling I was met with a blank stare which prompted his multiple visits to Google throughout my appointment). There was absolutely no discussion around activity modification, exercises or stretches, topical or oral pain therapies, literally anything else that would be beneficial. Only because I asked at the very end, he gave me 1 exercise that does not engage the right muscle groups. He was not even aware of the name of the device used for this exercise and was also not aware that his clinic actually sold it until somebody overheard and corrected him. I was booked for an hour and he sent me out at 45 minutes. He did not offer any follow up. I am a physician so I spoke to a number of my colleagues including sports medicine specialists and family physicians who all agreed this was an extremely lazy consultation with a physio who only wants to use modalities rather than working with me and teaching proper exercise. I called and asked to speak to the manager. I was told I would get a call back then never heard anything for days. It was only after I called again that she spoke to me. To all of my concerns she repeatedly stated "I am sorry that you feel that way", provided me with no explanation, no attempt to rectify the situation at all and made it quite clear that she felt my consultation with the PT was adequate which is very alarming. I have since received multiple suggestions from family doctors and sports med specialists regarding much better physiotherapy clinics to attend, thankfully.

With regards to my Life Mark review, Panther Sports Medicine is where I went after I left Life…read moreMark. It was so refreshing to visit a physiotherapist who actually adjusted the routine to each individual person. Panther Sports Medicine has many locations across the city, but we were lucky enough to attend the clinic with the owner of it all, Scott. He was such a pleasure to be around too. He would talk to me while poking and prodding, and make jokes to keep me comfortable. I could tell that he really knew what he was doing. Perhaps it was because of all the letters and titles after his name! I was glad that after leaving the friendly environment of Life Mark, Panther showed me the same enthusiasm whenever I visited. The girls at the front desk were always happy to see me and remembered me by name, first and last. They actually let me take home and keep a book I was reading while having physio. I completed my physio before I could finish the book, and they said no one else had touched the book in years, so I could have it. It was fantastic. What cuties! The quality of service at Panther was exceptional. They first did an initial assessment to see where my problems areas were and went from there. I still got the heating pad (and a little nap) every time I went in, but they did so much more to my body. I had acupuncture and intramuscular stimulation, as well as full use of an exceptionally equipped gym. Panther provided regular reports to my insurance company, so they could keep their files up-to-date on my recovery as well. Not only was the treatment phenomenal, but so were the people! Panther Sports Medicine should be a top choice for physical analysis and treatment. The physiotherapists really know what they're doing, and prove that to you when they help you make a quick and full recovery.

This review is based completely on my interactions with my particular therapist - Darcy. I drive…read more30 minutes out of my way because the care he provides is so fantastic. If he should move to another clinic, I would immediately drive to that clinic for treatment. I have been going to Darcy for the last 5 years. I sustained a serious injury in a motor vehicle accident and though I have chronic pain from it, regular physio helps keep me moving and allows me to do things that I otherwise would have a hard time doing - specifically my love of running LONG distances. When I told Darcy that I wanted to run a marathon, he kept me going and provided me with feedback on what types of training would be best for my body. He's excellent with all types of patients and is realistic about what will work best given your particular situation. He IS a Canucks fan though and he does give me a hard time about the Flames. Sometimes I let him get away with the trash talk, let's be honest, the Flames make it hard to defend them on occasion. I should also mention that the rest of the staff are excellent as well. The other individuals that assist throughout the course of my treatment are efficient and pleasant. 17/30
