To say I was overwhelmed was an understatement. Stacy and the CHI team were remarkably honest, straightforward and made the insurance claims process a breeze. They made what could have been very stressful quite manageable. Even our insurance agency's adjustor complimented that CHI really knew what they were doing. They preserved as much of the wall that they could, worked quickly on the emergency repairs and drying process, and then renovated the room so that it ended up looking better than ever. All of the work teams were professional, efficient and talented. Even more, the other contractors that provided us estimates overestimated and made it seem like we needed more work done. I went by the office and made them aware of the problems (3) weeks ago, I received one phone call after I phone contacted then a week after the office visit telling me that they were very busy and would get back to me, that was (2) weeks ago and they are very close to my house, (5 minutes away) going by the office this morning, wish me luck.

I stressed to him that the main reason for the french drain was because my neighbor had dug a trench in their yard and were draining their rain water into my yard causing flooding. The cost would be $1,200.00. He brought in a back hoe and got to work. I thought it was a little crazy when he used landscape fabric under the gravel but I am not the "expert". A few days later, it rained and the fabric tore away and mud began flowing down the ditch blocking the catch basin and flooding my entire side yard! He sent his son back to "fix" the problem....yes same landscape fabric. No rain for weeks and then rain for a few days and a worse collapse. He now claims that "he has no control over the neighbor draining water into my yard"....What! I will be looking for a more reputable contractor. On top of that, my neighbor saw him working at my house and hired him. He made a bigger mess of that job than mine. Do not hire him! He knows not what he is doing.

Repeated entreaties to correct his errors go answered though he assured me he would remedy the situation. His bid was lower, but clearly he cares nothing for the quality of his work. DO NOT HIRE HIM.
