Alpine Home Medical has several locations in Utah and this location on State Street is very…read moreconvenient. However, some of the people who work here are completely incompetent. I came in with my mother to rent a wheelchair that we made arrangements for several weeks prior. I had spoken with one of the managers on the phone, and also through email and sent her my doctor's prescription and my insurance information. She was very helpful and even contacted me on the day of pick up to be sure I was still coming. When we arrived, my mother went to the counter and gave my information to one of the men behind the counter. Instead of helping us, he decided to help the man behind us, and then two other customers arrived, who he and his colleague proceeded to help. One of the customers who arrived after us was picking up two wheelchairs, and some other items. After waiting for awhile, I crutched up to the counter and asked when we were going to be helped. I explained that we had been waiting, and they helped several other people, while we were still waiting. Luckily, the manager I had spoken with finally showed up and was able to assist us, She apologized and was surprised that no one had brought the equipment out for us. She took her time to show us how to attach the extension legs for the wheelchair we had asked for, and also provided some other alternatives to try if we were interested. (an iwalk and a knee scooter) Their knee scooters were very loose where you place your arms and just did not feel very stable for using around town or at work. So far, I have been very happy with the equipment we rented and really appreciated the woman who helped us with our order. However, the customer service by the men at the counter left me wishing we had visited another medical supply company.
