When I arrived, one of the employees was engaged in conversation with a couple...to me, a green flag that they value their client base and people return. I will be as well. I was sent a report on my car's condition, with incontrovertible proof of my transmission fluid needing replacement. That wasn't what I had come in for, but they quickly earned my confidence. Even more quickly, my car was returned to me- new coolant reservoir and new transmission fluid. In the mean time, they had kept excellent communication. I am now loyal to 'my' auto shop.

Summary at the end…read more Went to Ron's to drop my truck off for an alignment and to take the strut spacers off. Ron's told my husband they would have to charge for an inspection (don't remember getting a price), the alignment was going to be about $100, and we didn't get a price on taking the strut spacers off. We get a call later in the day saying the alignment is done and it's as aligned as it's going to get and it's going to be $170 for the alignment and that they didn't take the spacers off because it was going to be $1000 to remove the spacers. To better assist customers, they should have called us before doing the alignment if they knew or even had a hunch they wouldn't be taking the spacers off. We were told they were going to charge us 170$ plus $140 for inspection. On top of that, we have to get a new alignment after getting our spacers off since you're supposed to take spacers off first. In hindsight, we should have read yelp reviews instead of Google reviews because there were reviews of people with similar experiences. So we took my truck to Trickles and they quoted us about 600 for the strut spacers and the new alignment. We went back to Ron's and told them our situation hoping they would be understanding and they said they'll only charge us for the inspection so they charged us $147. We were also informed at the checkout process that they weren't familiar with spacers/lift kits on ford trucks, which is fine, but I just wish we would have known that before dropping our keys off with them. I'm just very disappointed in the lack of communication because we didn't need the work they did if they weren't going to take the strut spacers off. I wish we were told before they proceeded with the repairs. Summary: They should have called us after the inspection and told us the combined cost of the strut spacer removal AND the alignment. Instead they did just the alignment even though we'll have to get another one after strut spacers are removed. I give it three stars because I appreciate not having to pay for the alignment but I did not have a good time, definitely didn't want to pay $147 just to have to take my truck somewhere else. The alignment and inspection is reasonably priced if you're not getting it for no reason.

Although they were unable to do the windshield, due to the difficulty and specialty tools involved, they were able to do all side windows and back window and it looks fantastic, I would highly recommend. They were prompt and professional, 10/10 service and communication.

He had heard good things about this location. He sent an email out for a quote. He had good communication on the email and got a time set up. He got a confirmation of a time and scheduled to do the drop off. One small hiccup was that he got a second email not long after. The email came from a different individual trying to confirm the same information, and he thought it was a scam. He didn't answer the 2nd email because he had already confirmed everything through the initial emails and thought it was spam. He went to drop off the vehicle, and they had canceled his original appointment because he didn't answer that second email. Luckily, the gentleman behind the counter was great. He was able to get him in right around the same time frame, and we had no major problems. The husband discussed all the options, picked out what he wanted, and got it ordered. He was able to share options with my husband there in the store. He picked out the 15% in the back and 70% on the front. They let us know that they were only a couple of days out. That still worked fine for us. We got the call a couple of days later, and it was like taking a kid to the candy store. Hubby was so excited to see the tint on his car. He had been wanting this since he got the car. We got to meet Jen and the shop pup Jayla, who startled me when I walked in this time, but was happy for the pup love while we finished up paying. It ended up being about $540.00, which is what we budgeted for. Hubby had a coupon, but it was expired, but that's okay. I've been doing business with Sternquist since around 1973. My latest experience is indicative of…read morewhat I've come to expect from these folks. I had a leak somewhere around the radiator. Could have been a simple hose or possibly the radiator itself. Turned out the radiator was leaking. In earlier times there was a gentleman in town that did repairs on radiators. That option is sadly not available anymore due to how radiators are made today. My vehicle was more difficult for this repair/replacement due to all the items that must be removed to access the radiator. I thought it may take longer than a day to accomplish the repair. Sternquist was able to get the repair done in a day and did the usual excellent job on the work. I would not hesitate to take my vehicle to them for any future needs. Thanks Sternquist Garage!

The work began falling apart in Illinois, and the car had to be replaced in order to get home. Heartbroken says it all. You may have a better experience, but no matter how kind and cordial the owner is, I am not in the financial position to gamble with that much money again.
