If you can request him, definitely do it, he is a true gentleman. The lobby is beautiful, with many places to sit along with a bar for drinks. The hotel has a restaurant on-site that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have a rooftop pool that opens at 8 a.m. every day. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is in a perfect location within Baytowne Wharf and a perfect walking distance to the restaurants and shops without being too close that you hear the noise. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and especially Gumby. Next time I visit 30A, this is where I will come back.

It's right on the beautiful beach. Everyone wears a wristband while staying there so their security knows if anyone is trespassing. The audiovisual team for our event was amazing. There's a few restaurants on site. The only things I didn't like were that there was no ramp on the side where the banquet halls are located by the parking lot so anything you have has to be carried up stairs or you have to go all the way to the front entrance. They need more diabetic-friendly snack options for guests. We have several guests with dietary restrictions. The catering staff did excellent with their meals. Lastly, the elevators are smaller than normal which isn't really a big deal until checkout time. This resort has a shuttle to different parts of the town which was really nice. A glass door refrigerator is kept stocked with variety of Coca Cola brand soft drinks & bottled water. Lower shelves are kept well stocked with all kinds of Mars and Hershey candies from Milky Ways to M&Ms. Pretzels, Sun Chips and more varieties of Miss Vicky's potato chips. Starbucks drink machine rounds it out with a variety of hot drinks and iced coffee, made to order in under two minutes! Chocolate chip cookies fresh from the kitchen always available in registration area. Meals from their five star award winning pinched and culinary team can't be over stated. We live 6 1/2 hours drive away- pretty typical distance for many people in the southeast. I arrived just a week after Hurricane Isaías blew through, and was relieved to see the hotel was in great shape. The building and grounds are not new, but are well maintained and features nice landscaping. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants either walkable or within a very short drive. Check-in was easy. My reservation was through Expedia, so I received a message with a short form to complete and provide the information they needed, so when I arrived all they needed was my ID. I had a king bedroom with a balcony overlooking the golf course which provided a beautiful view. My room had a mini fridge, desk, wardrobe, a very comfortable bed, plenty of electrical outlets to charge devices, a large screen TV, and a love seat, cozy chair and ottoman. The bathroom was equipped with dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, a hair dryer, and excellent thirsty towels. The AC worked fine. My only issue was that the latch to the balcony sliding door did not work, so it would not lock. If someone had a small child this could be an issue since it opened to the balcony on the third floor. Since I was alone it was not a problem. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A light breakfast is provided, but I did not take advantage of that. They offer a very nice fitness room which includes free weight dumbbells which I did use. The pool is also quite beautiful, and looked inviting - next time I need to plan an extra day to rest there after a conference with a heavy schedule. I would definitely stay there again. Kudos to the staff and management.

First and foremost, the bistro started off a little bit lackluster, but the following 3 to 4 days of our stay, it absolutely grew on us as we explored more of their breakfast and happy hour menu. I ordered all of the flatbreads for our family one evening, and all four were fantastic. Here's where they crossed the line. We were at breakfast with our granddaughter and the kids, by the way it was really good. A nice lady, who I would later learn is the Market Director of Sales (Leslie) genuinely engages us and our granddaughter in conversation, inquiring about our experience and stay. She graciously disengages and we go about are breakfast...until she returns with a Disney princess comic gift set for my granddaughter. I've been Bonvoy Titanium 9 of the last 10 years, and Ambassador 1 of those years, and lifetime Platinum . When I tell you this is the most authentic and appreciative Marriott experiences I've had...she absolutely went out of her way. My Bonvoy status (or my son's, platinum as well) was not a factor...this was genuine unprompted customer engagement.

Robin the first heard the problem which was a situation that was my fault heard me out then passed the information onto James. Robin called me via the phone in my room number and said James was waiting on me at the front desk. I went down and James completely already knew the problem and solved the issue and said enjoyed the rest of your stay. I was and am still extremely impressed.
